FALL TABLE WITH A TROUGH

FALL TABLESCAPE

It's officially Fall, y'all, so of course, I've set another Fall table. This long, skinny faux chicken trough is a perfect fit for the table. It creates a lot of splash without taking up a lot of space.

FALL TABLESCAPE

I used these leaf-bordered placemats almost like chargers by putting the place setting in the center of the placemat. The salad plates, bought at an estate sale several years ago, are stamped Hand Painted.

FALL TABLESCAPE

The dinner plates, Apple Blossom, Ridgeways England, were from a long-ago charity sale.

FALL TABLESCAPE

I secured the plaid napkins with fabric covered napkin rings in Fall colors and tucked a glittered faux leaf into each one. The flatware belonged to  my mother.

FALL TABLESCAPE

You'll see my jewel toned stems a lot during the Fall months. On this table, I'm using them for wine. The water stems were our wedding selection, Lenox Moonspun.

A close up of the water stems to show you the leaves etched into the rim.

The divided vegetable server (another estate sale purchase) is not marked with a pattern or maker name.

FALL TABLESCAPE

I bought this gravy tureen at a junk store years ago. It is marked "Japan". On this table, I'm using it to serve salad dressing.

FALL TABLESCAPE

On one end of the table, I used my Sunflower salt and pepper shakers. I won these in a blog giveaway last year.

On the other end of the table, I used a squirrel shaker and a pumpkin shaker that I bought at a flea market a few years ago.

FALL TABLESCAPE

I purchased the trough at a discount gift store. I filled it with faux leaves, faux beaded fruit, and handmade beeswax candles

FALL TABLESCAPE

The candles are lit, and we are ready to eat.

I'm glad you came by for some Falling at our place on this first day of Fall.

Laurie, this is a beautiful introduction to Fall! I'm drooling over your leaf-etched stems. What a treasure. The contrast of the trough adds a whole new dimension, which blends so nicely with your salad plates. Hand-painted, wow, what a find! I love the combo of the plates you used. Very pretty. I hope you're enjoying your cooler temps. I sure am, too! Blessings~

Beautiful table and colors. I love the etched water stems.
Our temps here in the desert haven't dropped much. I think we are still at 100. I'm getting tired of the heat and looking forward to cooler days.

Hi Laurie, I love your fall table. The colors are awesome. Love the center trough and how you decorated it. I've been seeing this a lot and would love a wooden one for my table. Your dishes and soup tureen is gorgeous.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs, cm
