OUR DINING CHAIRS ALMOST MATCH NOW

I'm excited to say that our dining chairs are now a closer match than they used to be.  (It doesn't take a lot to get me excited.)

I've had a disaster. Without any warning, my laptop  died. I am struggling with the learning curve and getting back all of my programs on this new laptop. I lost a lot of photos (I have hope that they can be retrieved). I stole this photo from a previous post. Can you see my unmatched chairs?

Years ago, I purchased two Hitchcock chairs at auction.

Last week, my friend, Audrey, called me to let me know about four Hitchcock chairs at a resale store (I have too many enablers in my life). I bought all four for $25.00 each.

The two that I already had have a fruit theme. I put one of these at each end of the table.

The four that I purchased, have a floral theme.

So, that's how it happens that our dining chairs almost match. We don't have a real dining room. This table is in the family room, I really like the lower profile of these chairs in this room. (And I like that they are a better match than our previous chairs.)

On this Memorial Day, I thank God for those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and I pray for comfort for their families. Wishing all of you a good holiday weekend.

This post is partying with Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch, Something to Talk About at 2 Bees in a Pod,  Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, Tweak it Tuesday at Cozy Little House, and You’re Gonna Love It Tuesday at Kathe with an E

Lucky you Laurie to have a good friend like Audrey enabling you. The new chairs look perfect blended in with the old Hitchcock chairs. I doubt that many people would readily notice the difference in the stenciling since the overall look is so similar. I do agree that the lower profile of the Hitchcock chairs blends in very nicely in your family room. Have a wonderful day..... Candy

That's awesome Laurie! You got quite a bargain on them too. I bought one piece by Hitchcock a few years back. I found a guy on line out East that sells their product line exclusively. Here is the link- he has some that look like yours $600-$700 each!

I have enabler friends too! Bought a gorgeous bamboo book case with glass doors last week. A friend alerted me that it was at a consignment store. She placed a hold on it and I drove right over. Sold! ;-)

Love your chairs and that table. I'd like to find a long French table for our new dining space.

Stay safe and dry. I think our storms are headed to AR.

Hi Laurie, the addition of the chairs are wonderful. So glad your friend let you know they were available. The whole setting is gorgeous. Love the gold stroke work on the black. Beautiful.
We are in for more rain here. Texas is floating away. It is very sad for so many that lost so much. We are praying for all those in the floods too.
Have a great week.
Hugs, CM
