FRIDAY FAVES 05/01/15

picnic 1

One of my favorite things to do in the Spring is to go on a picnic before the heat of Summer sets in.

picnic 2

I created a faux picnic basket for two to remind us to go on picnics.

picnic 3

Styrofoam cups wrapped in paper became sandwiches.  Faux apples and an empty bottle of wine look like they are ready to use.

picnic 4

Faux grapes hang over the side of the basket. Since I was using cherry themed napkins, I had to add a cup of faux cherries to the basket.

picnic 5

Vintage look dishtowels are the napkins for our faux picnic.

Did you see this amazing box made by Prodigal Pieces?  Instructions are on her site.  These last few images are not mine.  Please go to the original site to pin or share these images.

This amazing piece of artwork was stenciled by The Silly Pearl, and she has the tutorial on her site.

Exquisitely Unremarkable made a fountain out of a garden statute that belonged to her husband's grandmother.  I love this little guy.  Detailed directions are on her site.

Thank you for stopping in to have a faux picnic with me.

Laurie, I love your faux picnic basket! Such a cute idea for an accent piece for the kitchen counter. Where did you get the cute cherry dishtowels?
