VALENTINE PAR-TAY!

Valentine Party 1

Valentine Party

Laurie asked me, the Queen of Hearts, to co-host her party.  After we all have a little par-tay food, we'll go over to see what you are sharing for the annual Valentine par-tay.  We are so excited!

Valentine Party 1a

As you can see, Laurie has been decorating.
Valentine Party 1b

You know she can get a little carried away with her holiday decorating.
Valentine Party 2

Grab a plate, and I'll ladle up a bowl of Laurie's Soup for you (recipe here).
Valentine Party 3

Yes, she stuck hearts on the soup bowls.  I told you she gets carried away.

Valentine Party 4

Would you like a cucumber sandwich with your soup (recipe here)?

Valentine Party 5

Since it's a Valentine party, I assume this is a cheese heart and not a cheese Mickey Mouse!

Valentine Party 6

A slice of apple and some cheese would be good on a cracker.  Look, Laurie even got out her vintage toothpick umbrellas for the party.

Valentine Party 11

Don't forget to get a napkin and a spoon.
Valentine Party 12

Valentine Party 7
Help yourself to a cookie.

Valentine Party 8

Yes, you can take a piece of chocolate home with you.

Valentine Party 9

And you are also welcome to get a spoonfull of M & M's.

Valentine Party 10

Laurie is offering almost anything you'd like to drink.  Take your pick -- Sweet tea, bottled sodas, water, or wine.

Laurie and I are so glad you stopped by.  Now, we're going to click on all of those little images at the bottom of this post, so we can enjoy other Valentine posts across Blogville.

This post is partying with Centerpiece Wednesday at The Style Sisters and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch

I am so sorry I didn't make the party! I had good intentions, but once again terrible news dampened my spirits. This time it was my 58 year old neighbor, suddenly from Pneumonia. He leaves behind a Down's Syndrome son. Please say a prayer for his dear wife and family.
Your post is inspiring, I really have to get my spirit back! I hope March brings renewed vigor! :)

I just found this as I have been doing everything else but catching up on friends. I have finished all of the laundry, restocked my pantry with a trip to Costco, ran some errands, but missed the trip to the pharmacy, so I will get that done when we go out to lunch on our EVERY FRIDAY LUNCH DATE. I just got the last of our Christmas up today. When I go back to the attic tomorrow, I will get Valentines Day decorations, but have to restring lights on my pink Valentine tree. The whole party is gorgeous. Your cucumber sandwiches intrigued me. One of my goddess girlfriends has always wanted to own a teahouse, so we depend on her to satisfy that activity. She has found some of the most fabulous places. Our favorite has a wee country church next door. She and a friend have bought that wooden church and plan to remodel it so that it can be a wedding venue. You cannot imagine how precious this is going to be. Back to the message for you. Thanks for so generously inviting us to your wonderful party. It was beautiful.
