ROMANCE ON THE TABLE

Valentines Tablescape-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

Do you think my sweetheart might object to a table set with pastels and floral decor?  For this table, I used my mother's table square over a lavender colored tablecloth.

The dinner plate and salad plates are Snowflake by Noble Excellence.  They look brown in photos, but they are kind of an iridescent purple.

I took this photo with a flash to try to show you the true color, but I think you just have to see it in person.

There are flowers on the steak knives, and

flowers on our Old Master silverware.

Yikes!  There are flowers on the water goblets too.

I broke away from the flowers with the silver zigzag wine stems.

But, I came right back to the floral decor with a basket weave patterned vase with flowers boardering the top, and,

of course, flowers in the vase.

There are flowers on the napkins, and

the napkin rings obviously are a little girly.

I served salad in a ruffle-edged bowl, and

our salt was in my grandmother's pink salt cellars.

Well, do you think my sweetheart objected?  After he saw the steak, I don't think he even noticed the girly looking table!  MEN!

I appreciate you stopping by today.  laurie

Don't forget the Valentine linkup par-tay on February 6th.

Very pretty and romantic looking, Laurie! I've been trying to figure out how I can set up a table in front of our fireplace in the living room for Valentine's Day. And, steak sounds like a great idea! It is one thing I know I make really good that my hubby just loves, so I guess that is going on the menu.

Romance appears to be in the air at your house Laurie. The table is definitely very romantic and very pretty. I am thinking that steak is a great way to a man's heart and will be on the menu for at our house too..... Candy

PS - I am ready to Par-Tay for Valentine's Day!
