"FALL-ING" SLOWLY

Fall Transtion Mantel

I previously showed you my Fall mantel, decorated with cotton bolls.  With all of the Fall colors turning up in Blogville, I started wanting to have some at my house.  If you’ve visited my blog for awhile, you’ve seen this Fall Welcome banner, which I have had for years and years and…  I still enjoy getting it out in the Fall.

Among the cotton bolls, I added some orange pumpkins.

The two little paintings are from the Etsy of Karen Harvey Cox, A Scrapbook of Inspiration.

Inside the lanterns, I added Fall leaf candleholders

On a nearby table, inside an old cigar box, pumpkin farmers are loading pumpkins in their cart, and another painting from Karen Harvey Cox serves as the farmer’s sign, advertising his pumpkins.

My daughter bought me this Department 56 horse-drawn pumpkin cart at a yard sale several years ago.

I couldn’t wait to get out my painted faux pumpkin from the Etsy of Celestina Marie at Southern Daydreamer

Slowly, Fall is coming out at our house.  Thank you for your visit.  laurie

Hi Laurie, your home is gorgeous and the mantel is beautiful with the welcome banner too. Love that pumpkin cart and the darling paintings are precious.
Oh I forgot all about that pumpkin you have from my shop. It looks nice on the tray. Thank you for the sweet mention.
You are too kind.
Have a great week.
Hugs and Blessings.

You are inspiring me! I keep[ staring at my mantel trying to decide what to do. I know I want to use cotton at least a little bit again this year, but I just can't seem to get the look that is in my head onto the mantel. I love your creativity.

Everything looks so cute. I especially like the dept 56 horse drawn pumpkin cart. I have some of their Christmas villages but nothing for fall.
