Did you hear the birds chirping when you opened my bog? I’ve set a table for a Spring luncheon.
White metal chargers are the base for each place setting, and I’m using my Mother’s silverware.
Each place card holder is a little nest, holding an egg with a bird painted on it, and they are favors for my guests to take home.
Salad will be served on “Prima Donna” plates. I ordered these from Joss & Main a few years ago.
On each plate, there is an illustration of a different bird.
Lunch will be served on plates I’ve had for about 20 years. The backs of these plates show a symbol that I can’t read, and the words,“hand painted”.
A roll and butter will be served here. (That butter knife isn’t dirty, but the photo shows a reflection of the chandelier above it – that’s my story).
Light blue napkins are held by white metal rings.
I’m using my Mother’s stemware. We have to imagine that there are birds hiding in those leaves around the tops of the stems, so the stems will make sense with my chirping tablescape.
Fat little bluebirds serve the salt and pepper.
For the centerpiece, in place of candles, a concrete candleholder holds nests and baskets with eggs.
A bird, flying below the chandelier, becomes part of the centerpiece.
What? You didn’t hear the birds chirping? I’m really not going crazy. I just have a very good imagination. (One more time – that’s my story, and I’m stickin’ to it!) Thanks so much for visiting me. laurie

Chirp, chirp! It's a beautiful setting, Laurie. The placecard party favors are darling. I know your guest will be smiling with those sweet gifts.
Your stack of plates chirp with each course. Very clever of you! I think you definitely met the challenge.
I sure did hear them chirping! You have some great bird dishes and those place card holders are so cute!
Your table SINGS Spring!!! I really love that centerpiece!
Of course I could hear the birds singing all over your table Laurie! You always have so many unusual pieces to share, and I just love those eggs at each place sitting on the bird plates. Your centerpiece is gorgeous!

Way to carry out the theme, Laurie! I like the unexpected brown tablecloth -- the perfect backdrop for your pretty dishes and other elements. I love those handpainted eggs for takehome goodies!
Your table looks great, Laurie! I love the birds, nests and eggs theme. Your place holders are neat and a great item for guests to take home. Love how you used the concrete candleholder. The plates are gorgeous.
I think you mean Suet challenged birdies? :) Love the table, always wanted to be a Prima Donna! Remember that song, Donna the Prima DOnna? All the scrolly works, so pretty! The glassware is just lovely!
Tweet table, Laurie! Thanks for taking the challenge. I think you will like next months!
Wow! Your chargers and dishes are gorgeous! I love those nest and egg place card holders, too. Thanks for sharing your pretty table!

The table setting is very pretty and definitely sings Spring. I immediately recognized the egg with the bird painted on it, as I was a fortunate recipient of your generous giveaway a few years ago. :-D
Laurie, you set a beautiful table and I am sure your guests will be so impressed. Everything spells Spring. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely tablescape with us.
Have a great weekend.

Laurie, you are a genius! I love what you did with the centerpiece with nests, instead of candles! Everything is simply wonderful - the plates, the stemware and the eggs for your guests. I would love to take home one of those!!
Precious birdies tablescape! Your theme is perfect for spring and the layering of bird plates is beautiful. My favorite is the beautiful bird candle holder used as the centerpiece filled with nests and eggs. Have a wonderful week!

Laurie, I did hear the birds chirping...maybe it's the ones outside my window, no matter they are chirping so we know spring has finally arrived!
Love the bird plates, especially the dinner plates...they are very pretty. Lovely centerpiece, too.
Love all of your china and the birds are so pretty!
What a beautiful table! Love your dishes and the centerpiece is darling.
I hear birds chirping, too, Laurie. You're not crazy...at least, not all by yourself!!! :-) :-) :-)
I really, really like that centerpiece! It looks like it would be really heavy and sturdy. You did a great job of softening it up with the various nests. I also like how you softened up the chandelier with the ribbon piece hanging from it.
The salad plates are amazingly pretty. The way you have the nest set dead center really looks cool. It's as if the bird is actually sitting in the nest.
You set a really pretty table, Laurie. The chargers are really sweet!!!
I love your little place card eggs!! I like how you have the egg sitting upright on the little vine wreath. Fabulous centerpiece with all the nests and eggs - yep I would say you surpassed this month's challenge!!
Isn't it wonderful to wake up in the morning and hear the birds chirping.
Your table is darling with those cute bird plates with birds nests, eggs and birds everywhere.
I love your stemware. I have always been fond of etched crystal. Your lacy chargers and hand painted egg place card holders pull your look all together.
Hi Laurie, I hear the birds chirping and I think they are just so happy with your gorgeous table setting.
Love your centerpiece and those plates are beautiful.
Darling place card eggs.
You set a perfect springtime table!
Blogger is just not working right for me lately. I just got this post in my email now. My posts are not going out either. Hope they fix these glitches.
Have a great weekend and blessings always.

The blue and brown remind me of a robin's egg sitting in it's nest. So pretty. The egg place cards are darling. I have heard the birds chirping all day. What a delightful sound. But I think it's because the patio doors are open.
