I decided our kitchen needed to celebrate the end of winter with a few Spring touches.
I added a few sprigs of faux Lavender to the shelf above the stove.
A basket, placed at the end of the kitchen island, is ready to be taken on a picnic at a moments notice.
The plates (Comptoir de Familee) were a recent purchase through One Kings Lane.
At the other end of the kitchen island, I replaced dark place mats with bright, floral Quimper place mats.
This cute cross stitch, a Christmas gift from my sister, has hung here through the winter. It does have a Springtime look though, so I’m sneaking it into this post as part of my Spring kitchen décor. I hope it’s warm enough where you are to drink a glass of ice cold lemonade. laurie

Laughing about the expression "running out of blog steam". Is that what it's called? I think I like the visual in my head of me sitting in front of a keyboard saying, "I think, I can... I think I can..."
Lucky us that you ran out because we got to see this replay. At my age, I rarely remember anything so I'm always delighted. I was delighted here.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Laurie,
I am sorry you ran out of blog steam...I hope it's not because of feeling ill or overdoing it.
Re-post or not, I love your kitchen and I want your built in china cabinet with the sitting area underneath! I want the island too....OK I want your kitchen. let me just put it that way....such a great space!
Love your kitchen, Laurie! It looks like a wonderful place to prepare meals, enjoy your morning coffee, and I'd love to sit on that seat in your built in cabinet!
Oh I just LOVE the cherry basket and all the vintage goodies. I love cherries in a kitchen. :)
Hi Laurie, I just love your kitchen and the spring touches you added is so inviting. The island with the pick up and go picnic basket is a really unique idea to display. Love above your stove and the built in china cabinet with the seat is gorgeous.
I could spend hours in your marvelous kitchen space.
Have a great week.
Hugs
Enjoyed seeing the rerun.
Hope you had an enjoyable and Happy Easter weekend.
You made me smile...you will never run out of 'blog steam', lol! I know, it happens sometimes, but we love to decorate and redecorate, so there's always material for us, the type that can't leave things alone! I love your gorgeous rerun, it's a great thing to do, cause we'd love to see it again and get ideas! Beautiful, I totally love it again! Hope you had a lovely Easter too.
