VALENTINE DECOR

Valentine's Decor

I’ve started adding a little Valentine décor at our house.  This vintage Coca-Cola crate frames a 1927 February edition of a Child Life magazine.  The vintage porcelain headed Valentine doll was a gift from a friend, and I purchased the heart pillow on Etsy several years ago.

I just move from one holiday right into the next.  I want to keep my sweetheart informed of upcoming holidays, so I’ll be certain to receive a gift!

Miniature mail boxes decorate the buffet behind the sofa in our family room.

Since the top of this buffet is seen from both sides, whatever I use on it needs to be two-sided.  I was able to use the King and Queen of Hearts, because a King and Queen from another deck of cards are inserted behind these.

A friend made the felt heart bag of kittens, and my granddaughter bought me the framed needlework heart.  I found the vintage heart-shaped paper napkin in a box of my mother’s things.

Do you do any decorating for Valentine’s Day?  If not, does your special someone remember to get you a gift?  I’m giving my sweetheart plenty of notice!  It was so nice of you to stop by.  laurie

I just do a little Valentine decorating. Gifts at Valentine's day aren't a given around here...

Look at you! Your Valentine's decor is amazing. I never decorate for this holiday even though it's very special to us.

Hi Laurie, Your special touches and décor for Valentine's are beautiful. I love the 1927 mag and the sweet little framed heart from your grand is precious as is finding the heart napkin among your mother's treasures.
I don't do a lot of decorating for Valentine's Day but I do put out some here and there for a special touch. My hubby and I do give each other cards and he does give me something special like flowers, candy and sometimes something sparkly!!
Happy Decorating!
Have a great week.
Hugs

Cute valentines decor! I don't do any Valentines decorating but usually a Tablescape for it. We usually go out for a dinner and I love to be given flowers and a box of chocolates!

Laurie, I just knew you would be all decorated for Valentine's Day! I made it very easy for my hubby to remember Valentine's Day gifts. We got married on V day. LOL

I do not have so much as a heart out around here, but I do have plenty of pops of red, left over from a year of popping the red all over the place.

I love your vintage eye for the holidays. It's my favorite Valentine look of them all.

Laurie - How very pretty! You've inspired me to gather up all my heart shaped items and make a vignette on the hutch in my dining room. That way my family can enjoy it during meals. I usually give my teenage son and my husband a small box of chocolates and a mushy card. Thanks for the inspiration!!
