THANKSGIVING MANTEL DECOR

Thanksgiving Decor-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

Remember when I welcomed Fall to my mantel?  I used French Santons

I’ve changed a few things for the Thanksgiving season.  The pilgrims have now landed.  In the photo above, you see the fancy young couple preparing for the feast.

Another couple of young pilgrims join in the preparations.

An older couple is providing the turkey and some harvest bounty to the feast.

An Indian couple shows up with more bounty for the feast.  (The fact that there is only one Indian couple is not a political statement on my part.  It is just more difficult to find Indian figurines than Pilgrim figurines – especially if you shop exclusively at estate sales and flea markets!)

A needlepoint cornucopia, purchased at an estate sale for $5.00 (isn’t that sad that something someone labored over, sold for $5?), centers the mantel.

I also added a few faux grape clusters and a little more bounty to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I love my new pumpkin with bling, a gift from my friend, Cindy.Thanksgiving Decor-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

I have had such a busy couple of weeks, and I haven’t been able to visit my favorite blogs, but I hope my life will slow down, and I’ll be able to visit soon.  It was great to have you visit today.  laurie

I’ll be linking this post to Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch, Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, The Scoop at Confessions of a Plate Addict, Knick of Time Tuesday, Open House Thursday at No Minimalist Here, and Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper.

Gorgeous Thanksgiving mantel! I love all your pilgrims and all the other figurines too, just awesome! Wish I had some pilgrims, the thing is that I'm never in November in the USA. Hope someday.
Have a lovely week, Laurie.

Your mantel is always so beautiful. I've gotten lots of compliments on the banner that yours inspired! I love the needlepoint and I too am sad that things people have labored over- the family didn't want. I can't imagine. I think someday I will have to build a bigger house just to keep the sentimental items from parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles!
Blessings!

Oh Laurie, what a beautiful mantle. I love all your people - they look so good. To think that someone did all that needlepoint and it only sold for $5.00. There are so many hours of love in that - so glad that it found a new home with you. Your bling pumpkin is stunning.
Have a great week.

At least the lovely cornucopia went to someone who would appreciate it. Your figures are so sweet and I love those green books on the mantel with the marvelous edges. I wouldn't care if they were about pig farming, I would buy them in a heartbeat!

Hi Laurie, your Thanksgiving mantel is gorgeous. I love the needlepoint and so glad it lives with you. Yes, so sad that someone worked so hard on that and then it sells for so little.
Love your pilgrims and the beaded pumpkins are perfect.
Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Hugs!
