I’ve decorated the kitchen china cabinet with vintage Thanksgiving cards and a couple of Fall plates.
I added this pretty, hand-stitched towel that I purchased from Jewel’s Etsy shop, The Chapeau Chateau.
A turkey tureen proudly sits on the kitchen island. I’m afraid, in this picture, those wooden acorns look like the turkey had an “accident” on top of my island!
A pair of ceramic pilgrims are living on top of the t.v. armoire.
At the back door, a truck is loading pumpkins.
Some of the pumpkins are being delivered to my wagon.
In Arkansas, beat-up, old farm trucks are not only delivering pumpkins. Cotton is also being picked and hauled to the gin.
Some of the cotton was left behind to decorate our back porch.
I’ve started the cooking for our Thanksgiving gathering of 25-30 family members. In a previous post, Mary, from the blog, My Dogs, My Garden, and Mary, commented that she hopes I have a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, I was fortunate enough to be able to add, not one, but two dishwashers. They sure make our family gatherings much easier! Are you getting into Thanksgiving preparations, or have you already begun Christmas preparations? I’m really glad to have you stop by to visit. laurie

I am so happy to hear you have 2 dishwashers...
It all looks very pretty Laurie. :)
Laurie, your fall touches add a charming touch for the season. Love the addition of the cotton. Reminds me of my youth. Lots of cotton farms where I grew up in south Texas. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Laurie! I'm cracking up about your turkey poop/acorns! :) Two dishwashers! That's wonderful and I love how your cabinet looks! Happy Thanksgiving!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Love your fall decorating! I would love to have cotton to decorate with. One year I had my brother in law to send me some from west Texas and I placed a few bolls on the Christmas tree! I always enjoy your posts.
Blessings,
Ava
It's way too soon to get rid of pumpkins and turkeys! I love you old yellow truck with the cotton piled in it and all of your Thanksgiving accessories. I know you will have a scrumptious Thanksgiving Day meal at your beautiful tables. They inspired me so much last year!
Laurie, I love seeing your home decorated for the holidays! Love your pumpkin delivery, too! :)
The turkey had an accident - too funny! I always love to look at your holiday decorations. I can't wait for the bookshelves at Christmas, my personal favorite! I hope you and all of your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
1. Everybody poops. Even turkeys. It's ok.
2. LOVE the old wagon.
3. And now for the important part. I want to thank you for respecting Thanksgiving. Such an important holiday and everyone tends to gloss over. Bless you.
Oh I love it all, those cotton bouquets are so cute. Love that idea. It is still fall at my house too and will be until after Thanksgiving. Just can't get started on Christmas yet. Hugs, Marty
I love that you are respecting Thanksgiving!! I think the turkey droppings are cute and will be a great conversation starter!!! I know you will have an awesome holiday!!
Turkeys had a accident did they? :-D
Love the pumpkins in the wagon and cotton in the vintage truck. Another great job of holiday decorating at Laurie's.
No meal prep here - someone else is cooking this year! Can you see me doing the happy dance?!? :D
Enjoy your evening.
Hi Laurie, Love your Autumn home. What a wonderful Thanksgiving it will be at your house. Love the turkey tureen, acorns and all!! LOL!! The kidos will have fun with that.
Wonderful to have 2 dishwashers for family gatherings.
Have fun as you prepare for the big day.
Hugs
Laurie, I had a really good laugh at the turkey poop! As always, your decorations are so lovely and interesting! How smart to put in 2 dishwashers. We have 2 at our house-they are named Jane and Leo!
Laurie, I have the same acorns as your turkey "poop" acorns. I was trying to take the pictures for my post tomorrow and I about died when I realized what they looked like. I had tied the two acorns satin ribbons together at the base of a candle. I don't think I need to say anymore about what that looked like. To funny!! Your tureen, however, looks gorgeous. I have to get my tureen down for next week. It is very colorful and I am afraid just a bit to bright. But, it is what I have. Your fall decor is beautiful throughout your lovely home. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.
Candy
PS: My husband is cracking up about your turkey "poop" story!!
Now why did I ever get rid of my sons old Tonka trucks? What a cute display.
Love all your fall decor, its so inviting and cozy. Cotton is so pretty, that's what fall looks like around here...cotton as far as the eye can see. So pretty!
It's still fall at our house too! Beautiful tablescape! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
