ALMOST FALL TABLESCAPE

It’s one of those in-between times of the year – too late for Summer tables, and a little too early for Fall tables, so this is kind of an in-between tablescape -- not too summery, but not really an autumn table either – a mixture of  fruits and flowers.Almost Autumn Dinner-Bargain Hunting with Laurie

I purchased the hand painted salad plates at an estate sale long ago.

Casual Dinner-Bargain Hunting with Laurie

I purchased the dinner plates at a charity tag sale over 20 years ago.  (Apple Blossom, Ridgways, England)

Green depression glass plate (estate sale).  I can’t remember where I got the chargers or the flatware.

Some things on this table were NOT from an estate sale!  I think the napkins were from Williams Sonoma Outlet.  I bought the napkin rings at a resale store, and the green iced tea goblets were the “every day pattern” we selected when we married.  I think I got the quilted yellow placemats at a Kohl’s sale. I always think of Tickseed as kind of an in between Summer and Fall flower.  I put them in a jug that I ordered from One Kings Lane last year.  (This jug normally lives on our fireplace hearth.)

Divided vegetable server from another estate sale (unmarked).  Yes, I go to a lot of estate sales.  I love the farm scenes on this server.

Salt and pepper shakers (yes, another estate sale;  I’m starting to sound like a broken record.)

This set of salt and pepper shakers belonged to my Mother.

Dessert of cake and ice cream to be served on green depression glass plates and compotes (E.S. – yes, that means estate sale – again!)

Laurie all your fruit-and-flower themed pieces came together beautifully on this table! Girl, you are one excellent estate sale shopper! I agree about this time of year. When it's still in the high 90s, I can't look at a pumpkin yet!

They don't call you bargain hunting Laurie for nothing! You have some amazing finds displayed beautifully on your early fall table! I just recently found some salt and pepper shakers to match your meat platter! Every time I see your chairs, I want to paint mine white! Sounds like a good wintertime project to me!

A very pretty Fall table setting! No Fall decor here - yet. I am really slacking - have not been to an estate sale in some time.
Enjoy your evening.

Love those dinner plates. They are just beautiful. I just started going to estate sales and they can be very addicting! I spend my nights reviewing the websites and pictures and plan my weekend around the best sales. Your Mother's salt and pepper shakers are just beautiful. Dianne

How lovely to wake yp to your very inviting table. I'm thinking I'd like to be right there for breakfast. Like you, I'm in transitional mode right now, not really wanting to acknowledge that summer is really over.

Doesn't matter the season, Laurie. You always set beautiful tables. You need to use those apple blossom plates next week for Kathleen's apple challenge.
Love the yellows and browns of this table. Gotta find me some bamboo flatware. Love yours!

Beautiful table, Laurie...those plates are so pretty.
I used to go to estate sales every weekend when I lived in Phoenix...I really miss them, so few around the area I live in.
I have those same napkins and matching round placemats...found mine at Goodwill.
Have a wonderful week...

I didn't know the flower was tickseeds. I cut them from the side of the road this time of year as they grow wild and I love having them around the house. Like you, I'm between seasons, just not quite ready to go totally into fall.
