RED WHITE AND BLUE TABLE WITHOUT FLAGS

It’s not a patriotic tablescape; just a red, white, and blue tablescape.  No flags; just peacock feathers.  This will be short, since we have two granddaughters staying with us this week.

I’ve had the blue and white placemats for awhile and can’t remember where I got them.  The chargers were a gift from my friend, Susie.  I used a blue plate by Vietri as the dinner plate. A cobalt blue canister holds peacock feathers, which were given to me by my friend, Cindy, whose mother raised peacocks.

These chargers just seem too pretty to hide under plates.

Pressed glass soup bowls (estate sale) top a white plate by Gibson.  The blue and white flatware was from Kohl’s about three years ago.  Individual butter cloches were from an estate sale, and both styles of blue stems were from two different estate sales.

What a totally delightful table for two. You know I love any red, white, and blue and those chargers are fabulous. Kudos to Susie for finding those. Love the flat ware too. I need to shop at Kohls. I never think about it because we don't have one near us. But will add it to my list. '-)

Great setting, Laurie. Those red plates are too pretty to hide - love them. The flatware is pretty awesome, too - have not seen that, before now. If you get tired of the silver and cobalt salt and pepper shakers, you know where you can send them - lol!!

Pretty, pretty, pretty, Laurie. the solid blue stems are Noritake Sweet Swirl. I have a friend that had a pair of peacocks until the coyotes decided they would make a nice meal. She would bring me some feathers when they molted. I have them sitting in a Van Briggle tall pitcher!

This is a great way to do red, white & blue, Laurie! The feathers work well with the chargers and the flatware with their wispiness. Those chargers DO look too pretty to hide! I have seen those somewhere while shopping and considered buying them, but knowing I'd have to cover them up made me a little bit sad! You've done a great job with them here, though, and baring just the rim is sufficient to let their beauty shine through. Enjoy your weekend with the grand-young'uns! :-)

Very pretty combination! It's a toss up on what I spend more of my "mad" money on - dishes or books!
