Some of you may remember that last year, I bid on one of these unmarked Fall platters at an auction. When I got it at such a low price, the auctioneer asked if I wanted any more of them for that price. The audience was shocked when I said I’d take all six of them! Everyone assumed I was a dealer. They didn’t realize that I planned to use the platters as chargers on my Thanksgiving table. Four of them were chargers on one of our tables last year (see here), and I will also be using them as chargers on a table this year.
Dessert/salad plates: Myott Factory, Queen’s (Thanksgiving).
Thank you, my friends, for coming to my pre-Thanksgiving gathering. laurie

I thought your cowboy table could not be topped, but your pre-Thanksgiving table did it. That duck platter, I'm still not over my amazement at it. Now I'm going back to look at the chargers. Tonight I'm exploring more of your blog. No telling what I'll find then.
I'm just picturing the audience clutching their pearls and gasping when you said you'd take the whole kit and kaboodle! That's funny! I love the way you used the platters. Way to think outside the proverbial box, Laurie!!! They're perfect! Have a happy, safe, and wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

I love them! I don't remember the incredible auction adventure, but if you blogged it, I'm sure I read about it. I would love to have some turkey plates. I have not a one. This looks wonderful, and I love that you use the large platters as chargers.
Oh, to be one of your guests to enjoy in person that gorgeous table. You have an amazing collection of beautiful platters, Laurie.
I would have bought all those platters too, Laurie. They are very pretty and they make perfect chargers. I like using oval chargers like I have right now. As usual, you set a very pretty and warm table. Your guests will all be very comfy here....Christine
