LET’S TOAST THE BRIDE

I am joining that sweet blogger, Stephanie at Angelic Accents, for a Wedding Blog Party!  Thanks for hosting, Stephanie.  I know you’re not surprised to find vintage memorabilia at my party.  I can’t believe I even displayed my bedraggled much-loved childhood bride doll on the mantel!

This post is quintessential Laurie with a touch of softness and romance to boot. My favorite items are those silver toasting glasses. They're so pretty. I had meant to do a wedding post for that party. Maybe I'll have time today.

What a beautiful candlestick -- and those plates! I don't think I've ever seen quite like them. Everything's lovely, but the reminders/encouragement about marriage is timeless!

Very nice photos and sentiments. I'm wondering in what movie did Johnny Depp speak those words? Hmmm. Some great quotes to think about in your post. Enjoyed my visit. Thanks, Jenn

Laurie, Laurie, Laurie, I just KNEW you would have amazing items to share!!! You never disappoint me! That blonde bride on the mantel is adorable ~ Love that you played with her as a child. Mine was a fairly recent aquisition. Your centerpiece Bride with the gloves is ohsoelegant! Love the vintage honeycomb decorations, too. You just don't see those very often anymore. I really enjoyed reading all the quotes about love and marriage that you shared. That Johnny Depp is really DEEP, isn't he?!? :0)

Thanks again so much for helping make the Wedding Party such a success! Love you!

What a fun meme! I wish I had known.
You have an amazing collection, who knew?
Loved all the sayings.
Reminded me of a few my mom quoted...

Love is blind, but the neighbors ain't !

Love is blind, but marriage is an eye opener.
Lol!
Have a great weekend!

What wonderful quotes you included in your post Laurie! Wonderful wedding memorabilia also! One of these days I need to join this party- it always is the same week that I am cooking for 125 young cowboys and girls at Rodeo Bible Camp- and I am not smart enough to get a post ready beforehand!
