Of course, the pilgrims were met by the Indians.
(Christine, there is the rest of my duck knife-rest set like yours.)
And the Pilgrims and the Indians met a lot of turkeys (Of course, not many turkeys survived the meeting).
And they discovered the bounty of the land.
(Obviously, they discovered a time machine that allowed them a glimpse of the horse-drawn cart filled with pumpkins!)

Wow, you are READY! I have been too busy with my kitchen to think about it, but maybe this week, I will. I think you have outdone us all!
You have the best seasonal decor! I aspire to end up w/ collections that match yours! Love the idea of displaying old cards. Everything looks great, like always! Hoping you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving, if I don't make it back by!
You do have the best collections Laurie! They are unique and fun and not just right off the rack!
And you make the most beautiful vignettes with them, love it all!
Hugs friend,
Cindy
They certainly have, what an amazing collection you have gathered together over the years.
I so enjoy seeing how my US blogger friends celebrate this very American Holiday Tradition.
I know Thanksgiving will be a joyous occasion in your home Laurie.
all your pilgrims are wonderful.
You are ready for Thanksgiving and it is pretty. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
Laurie, such fun to see all your fall decor. I still haven't pulled out anything. Hope to get at least a few things out this week. Otherwise I've missed the window. ;-) Your pilgrims and Indians along with all those turkeys are a wonderful collection. Happy Thanksgiving! ~ sarah
Thank goodness you are going to observe Thanksgiving. I'm really disappointed when I see so many people choosing to ignore Thanksgiving and moving straight to Christmas. What a shame they miss out on all the beautiful traditions of our truly American holiday.
Your turkey collection is great. And as for the pilgrims, well John and "I", standing on your dining room hutch are just adorable!
Hi Laurie! I think all the pilgrims that were going to come up here decided to stay at your house! Lovely decor!
Laurie I think you have some of the BEST Thanksgiving decorations I've ever seen! Love the pilgrims and Indians and turkeys! If I can get home I'm ready for some Thanksgiving decor myself! hugs, Linda
Laurie, you know how to do the holidays! Love tours of your fabulous holiday decor. Happy Thanksgiving in advance!

Very festive. You always do the best decorating. You gave me an idea. I have a chicken wire piece that I bought years ago from Martha Stewart that hold photos great. I bought another one a year ago from another place and it hardly hold them at all. I will use clothes pins! Funny thing, I used closthes pins on my dads verticals with all his cards when he was in the hospital over a year ago. Now he uses them for his Christmas cards. Until I saw yours I forgot about that idea.
Laurie - I love your little village on the table. What is there about miniatures ?
I just looked at the date you began blogging and "08. It doesn't seem possible. You just keeps getting better and better !
You put me to shame, Laurie! I have one ironstone turkey platter and that is the extent of my Thanksgiving decor. Guess I just stay with fall.... Although I am chomping at the bit to start Christmas, ever since shopping at the White Cottage. It takes me so darn long to put everything out and put up 7 trees, maybe I SHOULD start now! LOL Love all your turkey day decor. :-)

So cute -- My pilgrims haven't "discovered" America yet....they're still in their bucket...but it's coming out this weekend!
Yes! I have pilgrims! I love them. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the entire year, and I have a freakish affection for pilgrims.
Your collection is wonderful, and you literally did make me giggle out loud with the comment about not many turkeys surviving the meeting.
What a wonderfully "Laurie" post!
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I am in love! I was just thinking it was the header at first that made me gasp in delight, but scrolling down...wow! Wow!
I am going to haul all my Thanksgiving stuff out today!
This is soooo cool!
Oh Laurie.... You've really done it up.......I love it all.... and I'll bet it smells deeee.lish too... :-)
Huggies,
Spencer
Your decorations always make me smile! Thank you for sharing them.
Wow, you have so many beautiful treasures. I am so thankful that you have shared these beauties with us. Have a great weekend, Ginger
I love your Thanksgiving decor, Laurie! The wagon full of pumpkins is so cute! Wow! I'd better get busy! I am no where near ready! Happy weekend!...hugs...Debbie
No, the Pilgrims are skipping our house this year. They called in their order and want it delivered elsewhere!
I love all your decorations, always enjoy seeing the pumpkin wagon. So much better than a turnip truck,as my ancestors were accused of falling off! :)
It must be a wonderful holiday at your house! We will be guests with 16 adults and 10 children, with a TV and a knock hockey game, as well as a pinball game in the same room! :) It won't be a Silent Night, oh wait, that's the next holiday!
Have a great week!
Wow! You set the most welcoming Thanksgiving decor ever! Have a wonderful day...thanks for sharing, your story is a reminder to all of us how much we have to be thankful for.
