My friend, Susie, made this “BOO” banner. S-h-h-h-h. Don’t tell her I told you this, but the first time she made it, the banner read, “OOB”, but she quickly figured it out, and rearranged the letters!
Susie also gave me this great Halloween pillow (yes, she’s a very generous friend),
and I placed it on my “new-to-me” sofa, that I purchased at half price on the last day of an estate sale. My husband said I was the only person he knows who could take a trip to a Blues Festival and come home with a sofa from an estate sale. He obviously doesn’t know all of my blogging friends!
I love my new sofa, and I love my new Halloween pillow. Thanks Susie, and thanks to my sweetheart for getting my sofa loaded on the truck at the Blues Festival. Susie also made me an “Autumn” banner. Isn’t it cute?
Kristen at Kristen’s Creations crafted this pretty “Welcome Fall” picture.
A page from my Mother’s scrapbook (circa 1929).
It was so nice of you to stop by for a visit. Yes, I confess it was me. I let the ghosts and goblins out! Laurie

Laurie -- I do LOVE all your "spirited" decor --- such fun to be "spooked" at your house.
Enjoyed seeing all your Halloween/Fall decor - However, the best was the page from your Mother's scrapbook. What a treasure to have !!
"They" say our temps are dropping this week - are you ready? :-D

Hi laurie,
No one enters into the seasonal spirit more than you my dear.
Love all your mosaics!
The Halloween pillow is fab and what can I say about your "new" sofa? It's just lovely, how clever of you to find such a bargain at a Blues festival.
Happy MM
Maggie.
Lovin' your great Halloween decorations and the new couch Laurie! The pillow looks great on it-enjoy:@)
Oh Laurie! Everything looks so wonderful! That Susie is a clever girl, love her banners.. I am still chuckling about the ooob...sounds like something I would do. Love, love love your new sofa.. You are incredible! Love, Cindy
Always a treat to visit you and see your wonderful decorations. You do the best!! Love the new sofa too.
I just love all your stuff. I tried so hard to have a bountiful look this year, and I just can NOT pull it off. Yours always looks enchanting. Mine just looked like a jumble of fall stuff. I guess you either have that touch or you don't.
I shall continue to enjoy yours and copy in miniature.
I laughed about OOB. That's so funny!
And I love the sofa. It would look beautiful in my living room, I think. (At least the living room in my head.)
BOO! That man's hand is extra creepy!
Your mom was ahead of her time, or mine was waaaaay behind. I don't remember a single Halloween decoration. No one even went Trick or Treating where we lived, till we were 12 or 13!
We never had a real pumpkin as it was wasteful, read no way was she making pie with it! :)
Through all that hardship I became a better witch, LOL!
Always love seeing your treasure trove of decorations!
Hi, Laurie! I haven't been in touch with you for awhile, and I just wanted to say hi! I love this post, especially the scrapbook from the 1920s. What an incredible treasure to have!!! Your Mom's creativity was probably a little before its time!!! As for your Halloween decorations, I have NO idea where you got that fake arm, but it is a hoot!!!!!! I need one of those to hang out of my car door! :-) Hope all is well. Take care, and Happy October to you!!!
Hi Laurie! That hand is really creepy, it looks soreal. I don't think I could have it in my house or I won't go to the room where it is placed, lol. But I do love your sofa and pillow. How lucky for you to get it at half price...Christine
I really like the black and white Halloween pillow I haven't seen that material before
everything is really lookin cute
Laurie, You are so fun to visit! I love all your Halloween decor and I appreciate your enthusiasm for decorating. I love your new sofa. It is so beautiful!
Hey Laurie Eve, The Target pillow looks great on your new couch! I love all your decor, esp the hanging arm..I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but i think it's funny..My fav is Weymouth's Halloween scrapbook page-that is priceless! How old was she when she made it? I am so glad you still have it and will share it with us..Thanks for coming to visit me, the other Halloween NUT. Susie
Laurie, glad you let the ghosts and goblins out. Do you hear mine calling out to you? They want to come out and play, I've got them locked up in the attic this year. Not much fun for me either, but certainly makes life easier at the moment. LOL
What a fun post. You know I love seeing your holiday things. ~ Sarah
Well your decor is fabulous! (as always) I saw that first shot and I was thinkin' "Laurie really should be using some more hand cream" Lol!! LOVE LOVE your new sofa!! What a score girl! And yeppers I'd have brought it home too no matter what I'd been doing before *winks* Vanna
Congrats on the new sofa. It's gorgeous and lucky you for having such a terrific friend - love the pillow. Sooo neat to see your Mom's page. Clearly attention to detail runs in the family.
