WHERE IS SPRING?

For some, the first snow of the Winter season is exciting and fun to see.

021

Snow and ice are beautiful, sparkling on the limbs of a tree.

Familiar surroundings become strange, foreign places,

012

And some leave their homes and seek warmer spaces.

It can sometimes be a scary sight, even when the limbs look like delicate lace,100_4404[1]

We who laughed at the first snowflake now beg for Spring’s bright, shining face!.

I hope this post didn’t make you too cold!  Hang in there!  Bundle up and stay warm, while we wait for signs of Spring.  Thank you for visiting. laurie

it sure does look pretty but I have seen it when the ice breaks the trees and makes the power go off..
I always worry for the folks who have no alternative heat source..

see the pretty flowers is like HOPE that spring will come again soon ..

hugs

It feels like spring here now, Laurie. Two days ago, it was 72 degrees, yesterday was 66 and today felt like 70 and very sunny. I have been cleaning my yard. I hope you can find a way to keep warm...Christine

Hi Laurie...

Ohhh...what beautiful photos, my friend! Yep...tis what it looks like at my place too! I really do love the look of a fresh blanket of snow on everything...and those beautiful little ice crystals on the trees that sparkle like diamonds! But I do admit...that it is all much prettier when viewed from the window of a warm home! hehe! Girlfriend, are those little yellow flowers...pansies? That is such a gorgeous photo! Thank you for sharing them all with us!

We had a storm move into our area on Sunday. It's still snowing...although lightly. The crystals are forming thicker layers on the trees and it is very, very cold! It is -5 as I type this and will get colder yet...brrr!

Warmest winter wishes...

Love ya,
Chari

We got 6 more inches of the fluffy stuff today. Seriously, I need a dog sled to get around here.
Hugs friend,

Beautiful photos Laurie... and yes I think I did feel a bit of a chill just looking at them! burrr!

The tree with all the ice on it looks incredible! Then the second photo of it with all the branches broken was so sad!

Well the sun was shining bright here today... and is supposed to be sunny all week! I plan on on soaking up alot of those warm rays! I hope some sunny weather will be on it's way soon for you too!

Uhhhhnnn, I don't want to upset anybody, but Spring?? It's at least 6 weeks away yet! (Except for here in Texas where it was 78F yesterday afternoon!)

THIS is the reason I no longer live in a place where it regularly and unendingly snows for months and months!! :)

If anyone sees Spring, please send it to the corn...

This didn't make me cold--all I have to do is look out the window.

Hope you see Spring soon down your way, Laurie.

Your pictures are so pretty Laurie. I will try to get a few in the next day or so.

We are under a blizzard warning until noon tomorrow. It's snowing here this morning. We are about 40 or so miles north and west of STL. Have ice but not as much as south so hoping for no power outage. I think they said we might have over a foot of snow and that will be added to the snow already on the ground.

Heard on STL news this morning...Cardinals have won the world series in years we had epic snow storms. Good news from all the stress and mess.:-)

Your pictures are gorgeous!
We are in winter's grip here, so I'll just stay in and nest here for a while...
Have a wonderful day!

That is the only way I like to see snow - in someone else's pictures.
I feel like I am wishing my life away, but I am ready for Spring also.
Just heard it is suppose to get down to 18 tomorrow night. :(
Stay warm.

Burrr ~ it is cold here again! We've had temps in the 70s for days. Now we are freezing again. How crazy is that?

We have not seen the ground since Cmas. Way too soon to look for Spring here, but you can share yours. You will get it long before us!
