JUST DREAMIN’ OUT LOUD

fav_thngs_cmbnd_thumb[1][1]

One of my favorite things to do is to relax with a beautiful design book.  Do you have this book by Betty Lou Phillips?  If so, you might as well exit this post, because today I’m sharing some of my favorite photos from this book.

bk cvr I apologize for the quality of the photos.  My color printer is broken, and I am taking photographs of the pictures in the book.

I love a plate rack on the wall (Y’all know I have a few plates I could display on a plate rack.  Of course, I don’t have any wall space left for a plate rack!)  Look at that corner cabinet with the painted scene on it.  Not your ordinary kitchen cabinet. I love it!

Okay, there is nothing I don’t like about this kitchen.  That range; that range hood; that tile backsplash.  I love it all!

stove And I think these bar stools are so cute!

These thick stone walls and the windows just speak to me – they say “Laurie, you need to live in this house”!  And look at that wonderful chandelier!

Okay, I want this painted vanity in my bathroom, and did you notice the cute little footstools under the vanity?  This may be a child’s bathroom – lucky child!

vanty w flwrs  And I want this sink in my powder room.

I think my doggie needs a door just like this one!

Not only do I want to sit on this balcony; I want that view too!  (Do you think I want too much?  I’m really happy with my home – But I do love to dream!)

balcony I just had to include this next photo, because I think it is so much fun!

I am so glad you stopped by today.  Thank you for letting me share my book with you.  I hope you’ll go visit all of the links to the wonderful bloggers who are sharing some of their Favorite Things.  laurie

Laurie, thank you for sharing this beautiful book. I don't have a copy of this one, but I think I need one. This looks like a wonderful book to spend long afternoos with. I'm putting it on my list. Wouldn't it be fun to have a kitchen large enough for a huge plate rack?
Have a great day! ~ Sarah

It is fun to dream, and it is free! Right now I am dreaming I have a cleaning person so I don't have to spend the day cleaning the house. Don't pinch me, I will get to it it a few minutes!

Hi Laurie,
I have a couple of Bettie Lou Phillips books, but alas, not this one. I love all the photos, especially the doggie door. How cool is that? And the stone sink. I'll take that kitchen too with the fabulous plate rack. It's fun to dream, huh!

Why Laurie, that looks JUST like my house!

Not.
But it does look like some stuff that lives inside my head. My favorite things are the bar stools. I was really drawn to just about all of it, though.
