OH HAPPY DAY!

I’m sorry to be so late with the Favorite Things link up today. I’ve just been having so much fun opening packages, I almost forgot to do a post!! I love when I have NEW (to me) favorite things to share, so I had to delay my post while I took photos of what came in the mail today. Then, we lost power at our house for some reason, and I had to wait for the power to come back on before I could post.

You may have seen these adorable Uncle Sam figures before, but not on my blog! I am the very lucky beneficiary of Sarah’s (Hyacinths for the Soul) editing of her patriotic decor!! Yea! Just look at these darling Uncle Sam wooden figures that came in the mail today from Sarah! (No, it’s not my birthday – Sarah’s just that way!) If you don’t currently visit Sarah, you need to go over and visit this sweet lady. She posts such creative photoscapes (I don’t know if that’s a word or not. If we can have tablescapes, I guess we can have photoscapes).

Thank you so much Sarah. I love your edited treasures!

I had ordered some pretties from the Etsy shop of Linda at A La Carte, and they also arrived in today’s mail! These breakables were wrapped so well and arrived in perfect condition, with a couple of bags of delicious tea Linda sent. Thank you Linda! If you haven’t shopped in Linda’s Etsy, Antiqgirl, you need to go check out all of her pretties.

My sweet sister-in-law, Brenda, showed up at my house today with a surprise for me (no, it’s not my birthday-Brenda’s just that way)! She had found these darling metal children’s plates at a yard sale and knew I’d love them, so she got them for me! Am I just the luckiest person ever?

Since I love to get packages in the mail during the summer (okay, I love getting packages any time of the year), I'm linking to Summer Sundays at The Tablescaper.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Please visit the other participants in Favorite Things Saturday. laurie

Looks like Christmas in June at your house. :D I use to have a cople of wooden, carved santas in that style, but gave them away several years ago. Thanks for hosting again this week.
Had a nice rain shower this afternoon & it cooled it down just a bit, but temps going back up tomorrow.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Laurie! What a fun link up!! Now why didn't I know about this link ages ago?!?! Where have I been? I'll be visiting here often, I'm sure! I just added my wedding collections to your link up.

I adore red/white/blue decor and Uncle Sam's are among my favs. I have several of them on display in our r/w/b gameroom year round. Maybe I can pic a few of them next week, once I recoup from the WEDDING PARTY! :0)

Big Hugs,
