THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI RIVER

One of my favorite things to do in the Summer is to take a day trip to Memphis, Tennessee for estate sales (to be honest, it’s probably one of my favorite things any time of the year, but photos from the bridge do look prettier in the summer time). My bargain hunting heart starts pounding when we cross the bridge from Arkansas into Tennessee!

I also like to play with Photoscape any time of the year.

Hi Laurie,
What beautiful pics!
I so love the Mississippi! We aren't far from it, (about 40 miles) and the river in our town flows into it. It's amazing to think how long this river really is!
Can't Wait to see your treasures and I hope I win your give-away!
Hugs, Cindy

Love the mosaics, Laurie.

It's about time for us to make a trip across the Mississippi. We want to take the ferry and with the Mississippi in flood quite a bit this spring, we couldn't get to the launch. Maybe when we get back from the lake next week. We could go across via the bridge up north...but we love riding the ferry.:-)

I would love to visit Memphis one day. It looks quite amazing and so full of history.

I love your mosaics too! I really must investigate photoscape as I know that so many bloggers use it for their mosaics.

Best wishes,
Natasha.

That takes me back to the 4th of July, 1976. My brother worked in one of the taller buildings along the river and he had an office with a window. He invited us to join him to watch the special bi-centennial fireworks display, which brought it eye-level to where we were. Fantastic -- I'll never forget that wonderful experience! Annie

Great pictures of the Mississippi River. It doesn't look muddy at all. I have seen parts of it, but from miles up in the air.
You have a great post !!!
