I ran to the phone - filled with fright!
I nervously dialed my hairdresser’s line.
She assured me that everything soon would be fine.
She colored; she curled, she did all she could do.
I anxiously waited til I got home to view
the transforming power of the new hairdo.
I screamed when I looked, and you will too!
So, I’ll warn ya again, RUN FOR THE HILLS,
Cause what you see may give you the chills!

YIKES! said I, and I bet you did too
I even pondered whether or not I could sue!
While worrying about this bright yellow flip,
I became very angry that I had left her a tip!
The only solution that I was able to find
Was to try on hats that weren’t even mine!
My Mother’s, My Dads, My grandmother’s too,
A Mexican sombrero and a floral in blue.

What I saw in the mirror didn’t look very good,
The hats didn’t do what I thought they would.
Not one of the hats seemed right for me,
Until I tried on the one you’re about to see

not a beauty but a jester – that’s me!

OMGosh Laurie, now that was GREAT! You are so cool, really cool in my books. Fun is the name of the game.
