IF IT’S GREEN, IS IT IRISH?

ST PAT FRPLC

WEARIN O THE GREEN

SMOKER-MUS BX

CUP TOOTHPCK

My childhood cup and saucer made by Camark Pottery in Camden, Arkansas, my mother’s toothpick holder, and a vintage bridge tally are all green, so they have become Irish decor on my mantle.

ATOMIZER

And even an atomizer, just because it’s green!

PLATE MOSAIC

You may remember seeing this china in a tablescape on my blog. They do have a green border, so now they are Irish too (even though the plates are made by Wood and Sons, England!)

BLOG CRAWL OLYMPICS

Of course, the Olympic mascots are currently out of work. Don’t forget the St. Patrick’s Blog Crawl at Cuisine Kathleen on March 16th. I’m joining Tabletop Tuesday, sponsored by A Stroll Thru Life. You’ll want to be sure to go check out fabulous tabletop vignettes all over Blogville. Thank you for coming to visit me. laurie

What's a blog crawl? I have to go check that out! I have to admit I have not put any Patrick's Day green out in my decor and probably won't but we will have corned beef and cabbage and tator tots that day. :) Can I change my TV photo? It's awful. xoxo

LOVE those beautiful plates! And that's no blarney!

All your fun greens make perfect little St. Patty's Day decor. Those lidded Irish jars so so pretty.

Great mantel display. I especially like the large plate or tray that is vintage looking with the bird on it.

Hi Laurie:
I love all your dishes and your decor. I really love to take my time and look at everything, and the posts that I've missed. My problem is I am on dial up and it is so slow and won't open all the pictures. Someday my little town will get with it and offer high speed. Well, some people have it, but not where we are.
I am going to look for that magazine you were talking about (Flea Market Style).

Oh, Laurie! Your mantel is so cute! Love that tray - it is gorgeous. I collect green glass and pottery, so the toothpick holder, cup/saucer and atomizer are gorgeous too. Those plates look great up there too.

Actually came by to ask if you would add this blogger to your prayer list. Her name is Elaine, and she lost her husband last month in a tragic car accident. Her blog is:

Aye...hello sweet lass!

Hehe...couldn't resist using a sweet irish greeting, dear friend! What a joy to see all of your beautiful St. Pat's Day decor, Laurie! I just love, love, LOVE how you've decorated your mantel! You'll have to show it off for Beth's "Mantel Party" for March! It really is gorgeous and may very well be my favorite mantelscape that you've done, my friend!!! Oh course, I love all that green!!! Ohhh...I am sooo ready to exchange all the winter grays for some fresh spring greens!!! I love, love, LOVE your Woods and Sons decorative plates with the sweet village scenes! You know, when I planned for that plate wall in my dining room...these were the first plates that I saw to use there. I ordered a set of four off of ebay but when every last one of them was broken when I received them...it just made me sick! The lady just didn't pack them well! I just love those plates...soooo pretty! And...sooo perfect for March decor!!! Ohhh...and I love that pretty tray with the sweet little bird that you used as well!!! Your mantel is beautiful, my friend!!! Thank you for sharing it with us...such a treat!!!

Love ya,
Chari
