CAN YOU TELL I HAVE A "THING"?
Two wonderful bloggers are sponsoring events today. Please go over to see Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses for links to the Pillow Party participants (That's a lot of "p"s. Aren't you glad you weren't standing in front of me when I said that?) and go over to see Mary at Little Red House for links to mosaics. As always, thank you so much for coming to see me. laurie
Such a beautiful colllection of pillows! I love your mosaic! I have a thing for needlepoint too, it's just so pretty! Have a great week. Miss Bloomers/Sonia
I have a thing for pillows, also! And dishes, and vintage linen, and teapots, and teacups, and silverware, and and and!! Love your mosaics and your other "things."
I love toile too..pillows not so much..seems I am always picking them up...but love to see the ones other people have! Hope you are warming up down there!
Oh my yes!! You do have a thing, we both do ....for the same things. :-) Loved your beautiful pillows - the toiles, the bunnies, the doggies, all of them!!! Thanks so much for sharing. enjoyed my visit.
Alas, I have a thing for needlepoint too. And of course toile! You have some beautiful pillows and toile fabrics. Looking forward to your Valentine blog party. The wheels are turning! What to write? At lease you gave us all plenty of notice to plan our posts! --Delores
Laurie, A kindred spirit when it comes to toile! Your post is beautifully and creatively done! I also find those needlework pillows little works of art! Yvonne
A pillow party- how fun!! I love the needlepoint- so appreciate this art. I made one needlepoint canvas and it took me forever! Thought I would recover all my dining chairs in needlepoint but after the first try at it----no way! Think I want all those tushes on that piece of art that took forever!!
Do you do needlepoint yourself or just collect it. (well, not "Just") I hope most of it was purchased or given to you, because if you made all of these things, or even most of them, I may take to my bed for a week!! Perhaps you can guess I have 10 thumbs when it comes to sewing, crafts, needlework, crochet, etc., etc., and so forth....and I am easily intimidated by talented people!!
I love those things, but I just have no talent or patience for it. The skill set I have is focused in theater: acting, vocals, directing, and such. And a little writing on the side.... :)
Beautiful pillows and beautiful needlework. Wonderful mosaics.
ReplyDeleteLove the needlework on the pillows and the mosaic is beautiful.
