ROUGHING IT IN THE WILDERNESS!

I am joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

(Rebus Translation: I'm back. I missed all of you so much.)

Would anybody be interested in posting a Rebus one day a week? As you can tell, I've been having fun with them! I would be glad to do a Mr. Linky for a rebus day, but I wasn't sure if anyone else likes them. Webster's Dictionary defines rebus as "a representation of words or syllables by pictures of objects or by symbols whose names resemble the intended words or syllables in sound". Example:

That isn't really the question though. The question is, do you want to participate. If so, please let me know in a comment.

This is where I stayed:

This is what I ate:

This was my view from the window:

A highlight of the trip was meeting a very special blogger. Sarah at Hyacinths for the Soul , met my friend, Susie, and me at the airport! We only had an hour, so when I asked Sarah if she would possibly be available to meet us for lunch at the airport, she volunteered to bring a picnic. We had so much fun, even though it was for only an hour. Sarah brought us sandwiches, fruit, chips, desserts (yes, that's supposed to be plural), and drinks in cute little boxes and even had Quimper print paper napkins (Sarah is my Quimper-collecting idol). When I first saw Sarah's picture on her blog, I thought she looked like such a sweet person. I'm telling ya, she is even sweeter than she looks. Susie and I had so much fun meeting her, and we talked about her lovely picnic lunch the whole week. Thank you so much Sarah. If you haven't "met" Sarah, you should go to her blog right now, Hyacinths for the Soul. You'll love her blog, and you'll love her!

Thank you for the cards you have sent for Andrew. I'm still sending them. If you want to send him a card, please see my sidebar or my previous post. He is still in the hospital and having a very difficult time. Please pray for Melanie, Andrew and their family.

Please continue to pray for Amy, Debbie, and their family. They are suffering so much.

Both of these bloggers have recently written amazingly beautiful and inspirational posts about their children. If you haven't read them, you can click on their names above to go to their blogs.

Don't forget to go to Little Red House to find wonderful mosaics. Mary, thank you so much for coming up with the idea of Mosaic Monday. You know how I love those mosaics!

Thank you so much for coming by to visit even though I haven't visited all of you in awhile. (I really didn't have internet access). laurie

Welcome back!!! What fun getting to meet a fellow blogger. And even more special that she brought lunch. If the cabin you showed is where you stayed, that is definitely my kind of roughing it as well. In regards to Rebus. It's fun to try & solve them, but not sure I could make my own. They are fun though..
