BLOGVILLE HAS BECOME CLOCHVILLE!

Yea! Another party! Marty at A Stroll Through Life is having another cloche party, and since you know I'm a Blogville party animal, you know I couldn't miss this party! So...I stuck some stuff under glass, called it a cloche, and posted it on my blog.

This first cloche is just my little memorial to 9-11.

Do you remember the rusty looking metal stand I bought at the estate sale a couple of weeks ago? I told you then that there was something that went with it, but I was saving that to show you another day. Well, this is the day! This painted cloche came with that stand. When I bought it, the glass was really cloudy (so cloudy that I didn't know there was a little candle inside until I lifted the cloche from the stand!) I wiped the inside with a little vinegar on a paper towel, and it was good as new!

This little plate in the next cloche belongs to my friend, Charlie Ann. I told her that I just had to borrow it for a picture on my blog. Sure wish I had borrowed it before the Rooster party. Don't tell Charlie Ann, but there may be a hen fight when she tries to get this plate back, 'cause I think it is so cute!

I guess my roosters have been around me too long. I haven't been able to get them to quit partying since the Rooster party, so I've had to capture them under a cloche so I can get them back in the pen!

Remember, Marty said we could use glass covers other than a cloche? My next "cloche" is obviously a cake stand. This cake stand was a birthday gift to me from my friend, Charlie Ann, who knows that I cannot resist a chocolate cake or even a cake with chocolate on it.

I did save you a little piece of cake. Sorry there's no chocolate icing on it!

Thank you for coming by to see my contributions to the cloche party, and thank you Marty, for hosting another great party. Now go over to A Stroll Thru Life and get linked up to all of the other cloche party participants. laurie

Oh Laurie, that painted cloche is just gorgoeus. What a wonderful find. I love the base too. I may have to get into the fight over the cute rooster plate, you know I love my roosters. That is so cute. The cake dome and the shoe platter is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Yes, even though you were a hoggie pigger and only left me a tiny bite, I do appreciate the thought. lol Thank you so much for joining the party, you always do such a wonderful job. Hugs, Marty

Love the cake plate! How funny! Since most of it is gone, just drop one off at my house and I'll be happy to take pictures and post them. LOL Your cloches are so cute. The chicks can stay nice and warm in there with the cooler mornings.

Laurie, You simply have to take some control and make those roosters tow the line! What is wrong with you? I love the little diddy (poem, whatever) on the plate about the rooster and the hen. Saw it for the first time right about the time of the rooster party and didn't know if I should post it or not! I wish I had. tee hee

Your cake plate with the feet is just too cute. ...the devil made me do it... Heck that is my excuse for everything! Apparently, I don't know how to exercise self-control, either.

I absolutely love with your painted cloche. You did a really great job for this party, Laurie. You're such fun!
Hugs, Sue

Laurie, I love that rusty stand with the cloche...I have one just like it...except my cloche has topiraries painted on it. I have it packed away in a box and had really forgot about it, until I saw yours...HMM...I will have to find it and show it off.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Nancy

Laurie, sorry I'm late to the party. So glad I didn't miss it though. This is the best! If that little plate found it's way to my house it might get lost and never find's it owner again. The roosters in the pen are too funny, not to mention "The devil made me eat it" cake plate. You are such a clever, creative person. I'm so happy to be a follower of your blog. You make me smile and laugh! Thanks for sharing. ~ Sarah

Hi Laurie,
It is so nice to meet you.
Your roosters "under glass" are so cute! I don't blame them...partying is so much more fun than just sitting on the shelf. The cake plate made me laugh... Your friend certainly has a sense of humor...as do you.

You'll have to stop by to visit my "donut".

Love the cake stand one the best!! That just says "Laurie" all over it! And, I love your hen and rooster next - you keep me posted on who the winner is between you and Charlie Ann - I bet you could take her - you've got to many tricks up your sleeve!

I love, love, love that blue pitcher with the goldish colored leaves in your fall display a couple of posts down - it is so pretty to me - but then - pitchers are my thing - I've been packing now for the past couple of days and did NOT realize how many I had!

Trying to catch up with everyone and say "Hi!"

Have a good week -
