"PLANT A SEED OF FRIENDSHIP; REAP A BOUQUET OF HAPPINESS"! (Louis Kaufman Quotes)

Blogville has some wonderful Wednesday events, hosted by some wonderful bloggers, and today I'm participating in two of those events.

Wordless Wednesday is sponsored by Miss Dixie at French Lique, and her topic today is: FRIEND:

Be sure to go visit French Lique,
Texas and get linked up with all
of the other posts about friends.
Thank you for sponsoring this
fun event, and for always coming
up with a great topic Dixie.

Outdoor Wednesday is sponsored by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer, and this is my first time to participate in this event. I just had to participate in this, because today, the temperature in NE Arkansas rose to 84 degrees! When I came home from work, I NEEDED to get outside and enjoy the spring-like weather. Tomorrow, our highs will be in the low 40's! I guess today we were having faux spring. I snapped some pictures of some of the flowers that have begun showing up in our yard -- just in time for the arrival of a faux winter tomorrow!

"Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party'!" ~Robin Williams

"If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom." ~Audra Foveo

"Earth laughs in flowers." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you, Susan, for hosting
this event. Go over to A
links to all of the beauty being shared
in Blogville today.
~~~~~~~~~~
If you visited my last post of my Easter decorations, you know I need more Easter decor! (Okay, go get a cloth to clean up that coffee you just spewed all over your computer.) SOMEBODY thought I needed some more decor! My friend, Susie (who shared her beautiful home with us on my Valentine's posting), sent me MORE Easter decor!
Look at this darling banner she made for me!
AND:
She sent me a beautiful Easter egg with two little girls on it (sort of like Susie and me when we were children). It's one of those eggs with the pretty sparklies on it, so it's difficult to get a good picture of it.
AND
She sent me this precious bunny, who hides an Easter egg under her felt body.
Susie is just one of those people who is always doing nice things for others (she's also an enabler-I think she wants me to have as much holiday decor as she has, so she won't feel guilty about all of her decor)! I am just so fortunate to have her friendship AND her wonderful gifts!
"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked." -- Bernard Meltzer.
Susie is definitely a true friend!
Speaking of friends, I have again received the Sisterhood Award. Each time this award is mentioned, I marvel at the wonders of the internet, which brought us together in this wonderful sisterhood. If you had told me a year ago that there were wonderful friends awaiting me in Blogville, I would have laughed at you! (I wouldn't have just laughed, I would have asked you where the heck is Blogville!) Well, I've been wrong before, and I'm sure this is not the last time I'll be wrong. There ARE wonderful friends in Blogville, and I'm glad I know where it is now. I am also glad that I know Lilly B at Lilly Loves... , who passed this award on to me. Thank you so much for this honor Lilly. If you don't know Lilly, you need to go visit her blog. In addition to having a lovely blog, Lilly is getting ready to have a lovely give away in honor of her 100th post!
"Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together."
Woodrow Wilson Quotes
Thanks so much for coming by to see me. laurie
We've had a few tantalizing Spring like days here in Virginia as well. Some of the Bradford Pear trees have blooms on them (wasn't it just last week when we had snow and ice -- looking like "winter wonderland"?) But -- a cold front is supposed to come through tonight and Old Man Winter will be back for a bit longer. Oh well, the hope of Spring is upon us! It will be here soon.
See ya!
WOW! ... and you are telling me these heavenly flowers grow right in your very own yard ????? Will you have to protect them in some way should temps dip too low? I can't imagine having this beauty at my fingertips. Good job!
Laurie Eve...You have turned into quite the photographer, I must say. My Easter goodies don't look that good at my house.
Those flowers were gorgeous, as I look out at the sleet in central AR right now. I love the forsythia, but the pansies and Johnny jump-ups were Mother's favorites, so I will vote them best of show. Beautiful.
Laurie, we both have E Middle names for real..now , the world knows..Laurie Enabler and Susie Enabler...:>)SEW
Oh you lucky girl to have all those colorful flowers already. Here in New York we just got rid of the last amount of snow. I would have loved that day of warmth. Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos. About the decorations~ My older kids hate when I put up so much because they have to help take down. For instance, Christmas we had 5 trees. The little guy (5 Yrs) loved having a tree in his room. So, I think I have a holdiday decorating problem so I can relate to your generous friend who sent you so many lovely items. Rita
Hey there Laurie,
I loved all your posts today, as usual. Your outdoor wed. with the beautiful flowers, oh how awesome! Your wonderful friend who bought and made you more Easter Decor is just a gem. My daughter and I were shopping yesterday and I was looking at Easter Decor and she said Mom, no one decorates for Easter, little does this 18 year old know yet about the world of Easter decor. LOL, Cindy
Congratulations on your award! You deserve it for sure.
You have an evergrowing Easter at your home. Everything looks lovely and aren't you so lucky to receive such lovely Easter goodies to add with your collection.
Isn't that something about your weather? You had that snow recently and now its so hot today and brrr tomorrow? That is such a contrast. Well take each as you get it...*hugs*.
thank you for sharing the beautiful flowers too. I can't wait until we get some flowers but that won't be for a bit yet.
Have a lovely evening
Judi
p.s. Your tassel will arrive next week..hope you like it...thank you!
Hi Laurie! Love that first picture! And the flowers are lovely too! I love all of your decorations and could probably not collect that much if I had a million years left on earth. I'm so glad that you make yourself happy with the things that you love! Deb
Laurie- Ok I remember your room that has all your MANY CHristmas decorations stored in it - Where in the world do you store all your EASTER? Girl you have for decor than anyone I know!!!! I love it all- You just make me tired thinking of all the work!!!!
I somehow missed the post before this one- can't figure out how that happened as I'm a faithful follower- anyways glad you mentioned about previous post so I could catch up!!!
I love your flowers too- I'm with Chari- both of us being from CO it is making me very antsy for spring to come this way . It was a beautiful day with no wind after 10 days of constant blowing so I did go and putter a little in the yard but too early here to do much of anything!
