HALLOWEEN MANTEL INSPIRED BY E.A. POE

The ghost of Edgar Allan Poe visited our mantel for Halloween. "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore!" (This can't get too scary if it's typed on a vintage toy typewriter, right?)

This clock-carrying raven is one dressed-up dude. No wonder Edgar quoted him.

Spooky cats, owls and trees have joined Edgar and the ravens.

Edgar also brought a not-so-spooky jack-o-lantern to the mantel.

I don't know why this raven is letting those pumpkin heads ride on his back.

To be on the safe side, Edgar included a Scottish Proverb - "From ghoulies and ghosties, and long-legged beasties, and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us."

Thank you for coming to see how Edgar's ghost decorated our mantel. I hope he doesn't try to decorate our bedroom while we're sleeping tonight!

You always do the most amazing vignettes for each season on your mantel. I love this one.
