An Irish village has taken over our mantel.
They sneaked into the house and moved their village on our mantel.
Some of their cottages are on dinner plates.
They hung a shamrock ornament on one of our lamps.
On the other lamp, they hung a Leprechaun's hat and pipe.
They even brought their trees and some tiny Leprechauns with them.
There's one of the lads who has set up his home on our mantel.
And now I've found one of the lassie's who is living in this village.
A little Irish band is marching around a tree,
and there's an Irish hiker at the corner of Shamrock and Lucky Lane.
They strung a row of shamrocks across the front of our fireplace. I guess they think the lucky shamrocks will keep me from evicting them.
I might let them stay until after St. Patrick's Day. Maybe they'll bring us a bit of Irish luck.
What do you think? Should I let them stay? Maybe I'll charge rent. Do you think charging rent would be bring me bad luck?
Thank you for coming to visit the illegal tenants on our mantel. I guess they can stay awhile. I just hope they leave behind a pot of gold.
This post is partying with Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch and Inspire Me Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life, and Thoughts of Home on Thursday at Poofing the Pillows, and the Annual St. Patrick's Blog Crawl at Cuisine Kathleen.

Your mantles always inspire me. Today I am taking down my snow mantle and putting up St. Patrick's Day. You have such creative ideas. I have learned a lot by looking at your blog. Don't charge them any rent - what they bring to your room is payment enough!
Very cute! not only do I look forward to seeing your decorations but I love the comments you make about them. This one cracked me up. I hope they leave you a pot of gold when they leave. Don't charge them rent, it would bring bad luck. Lol
Perfection.
