A LITTLE IRISH IN THE KITCHEN

St Patrick Decor-Bargain Decorating with Laurie

I've added a little Irish to the kitchen cabinet. The cards were all printed from the Internet. I've never found a vintage Irish card. On the key in the center, I used a bridge tally that my mother had kept.

I bid on this little Toby Jug at an auction one time. I got him at a bargain because he has an injured nose. That just allows me to use him without worrying about him getting broken.

The green toothpick holder belonged to my grandmother. My theory is that anything green can be used for St. Patrick's décor.

This little man (who looks Irish to me) is a bookend. He came home with me from an estate sale, because the matching bookend was missing which made him a bargain.

The little cup and saucer were mine when I was a child. It is Camark Pottery. Camark was a pottery company in Arkansas.

This jug looks Irish to me. Another of my theories: if it looks Irish it's St. Patrick's décor. I also got it from an estate sale.

My sister-in-law, Brenda, gave me the St. Paddy kitchen towel, along with a towel for almost every holiday.

Do you bring out the green for St. Patrick's Day? You know how much fun I have decorating for holidays. I couldn't let St. Patrick's Day go by without getting some green into the décor.

I hope all you lads and lassies have a great weekend. Thanks for your visit.

Cute! There is no one that can do holidays like you. I always love looking at what you are going to surprise us with.

I have a few reproduction St Patrick's Day cards and love them. I think it's time for me to get them out and enjoy. Love how you have your cards tucked into the front of the cabinet. I'm always inspired when I visit you Laurie. FYI, I get your new posts via emails and when I clicked on Feedburner says error and does not display your blog.
Have a great weekend……...

Thanks for the write up Laurie! You gave me inspiration to go green crazy in my house. I just returned home with a whole bunch of St. Patrick's Day décor!
