PATRIOTIC VIGNETTES

Red White & Blue Vignettes-Bargain Decorating with Laurie
As I was posting these pictures, I realized that I may have an estate sale addiction.  In the above vignette, both the framed picture and the tile came from estate sales.

The picture appears to be a page from a book.

In another vignette, the cross stitched piece came from an estate sale.

I also purchased the figurine and the flag on a stand from estate sales. The drumsticks on the figurine were broken, so I replaced them with toothpicks. Yep! A bargain hunter does things like that -- at least this bargain hunter does. Of course, other bargain hunters probably wouldn't tell you about the drumstick toothpicks. You may have noticed that I seldom keep anything to myself.

The Independence Day house and the swimming pool ashtray were also purchased at estate sales.

The 4th of July parade is about to begin.

The card depicting a little boy with a flag is from a set of playing cards I found at an estate sale.

Most of the postcards are reproductions, but the 3-D card on the bottom came from an estate sale. The set of playing cards I was talking about also contained a deck with the drum on them. I displayed one of those playing cards with these postcards.

Help! Is there an ESA (estate sale anonymous) group? Do you think I need to join one?

I'm so glad you stopped by to see some of the results of my estate sale addiction.

ESA ha ha. I like your clever use of toothpicks, it is our little secret here in blogland. You sure found a lot of goodies over the years. Happy 4th in advance. With the turns our country is heading we who love her must stand strong so I love to see your patriotic vignettes.

Oh, Laurie, how dull life would be without our treasure hunting. ;-)

It's fun to see your vignettes. Hope you have beautiful skies for the 4th. Happy 4th of July pool party!

I adore your Patriotic vignettes, they have all of the character and charm that you can't buy off the shelf at Target or Kohl's. One item at a time, year after year makes your collection of Fourth of July items outstandingly unique. I will be using your toothpick idea to create a pipe for a one of my ships captains that has lost his original pipe. Thank you!

Hi Laurie, love your collection and if you are addicted to estate sales, it sure is a good addiction. Love your treasures and especially the figurine group. Great idea to add toothpicks for drumsticks. That swimming pool ashtray is so unique and love how you added that table with umbrella next to it. Love the postcards and just everything. You pull together the best vignettes. Thanks for sharing and thank you for stopping by for a long visit to many posts. I love it when you come over and stay awhile. It's what makes you so special.
Wishing you a Happy 4th of July my southern friend.
Hugs and Blessings, cm
