BABY SHOWER CENTERPIECES

Baby Shower Table 1-
In my previous post, I shared the vintage decorations I used for a baby shower in our home.  Today, I’m sharing the tables for that shower.

Baby Shower Table 1
My black umbrella does have pastel polka dots on it.  I stuck it in a stemmed vase and covered the handle with bright pink tulle.  A stork flag (which my daughter used in her yard when she had her first baby) hangs on the door behind the table.Baby Shower Table 2
I surrounded the base of the vase with a pink feather boa and silver baby mugs filled with Crepe Myrtle blooms (one of the mugs belonged to me, another to my Mother, and a few of them were gifts to my children when they were born – I can’t get my adult children to take their things to their houses).  The ruffled pink table topper is a baby blanket.

Baby Shower Table
As I told you in my previous post, I was not hosting this party.  The hostess for the shower asked if she could have it at my house, because she lives out of town.  Of course, decorating for a party is my favorite part of hosting.  I didn’t have to provide the food, just the décor.  I used a bright pink patterned tablecloth, and the party hostess brought pink cupcakes and pink lemonade.  Nobody who attended this shower could have had any doubt that this baby is going to be a girl.

Baby Shower Table 3
A small decorative umbrella centered the gift table.  I surrounded it with one of my gifts – tights and socks that resemble shoes.  Aren’t they cute? I just love these things!  I ordered them from the Zulily site.
Baby Shower Table 4
On this table, I used a lighter pink ruffled baby blanket.  Since we were hosting a shower, the pink ribbons, hanging from the umbrellas, are supposed to suggest a rain shower.
Baby Shower Wreaths
No, this isn’t a table.  I just wanted to show you how I started the party at the door, by simply tying paper plates (left over from a previous baby shower) onto my Magnolia leaf wreaths.  I like to get the guests into a party mood before they even enter the house.  It also assures them that they’ve come to the right house.
Thanks so much for coming to see the baby shower on my blog.  laurie

Everything looks perfect for a baby shower. I like the idea of the paper plates on the front door wreath.

Lovely decorations Laurie. I must have missed your previous post on this - will have to go back and look for it.
Sounds like a great party and everything is terrific.

Yet more details that are up my alley. I love the umbrellas, and I am MOST definitely going to remember the simple wreath idea for the doors. That is perfect and so easy to copycat.
