It’s been a long time since I posted pictures of my family photo gallery. It is in our hallway. The hallway is narrow, and the lighting isn’t very good, so I apologize for the quality of these pictures.
I explained to my sweetheart that I wanted him to build ledges in the hallway for photos. Of course, he wanted to know why I didn’t just hang the photos. When I explained that I might want to change some of them at times, he immediately agreed and built me these little ledges. (Multiple nail holes in the wall drive him craaaazy!)
These ledges now hold a history of our families and have become a good source of conversation when people walk down our hallway. It can be a slow walk down our hallway when visitors start asking who each photo is.
Now, let’s talk about the par-tay! You’ll find great inspiration at the links to the Getting Creative at Home Party. That’s why my post is so short. I wanted to leave you plenty of time to go visit the blogs shown below. Just click on each link to see a post about a favorite project. Be sure you check back tomorrow for the links to blogs featuring their favorite projects on Tuesday, because you won’t want to miss any of these. You can find the complete list for the week on my sidebar.

I love your ledges and family photos Laurie!
Tell hubby he did a great job!
And by the way, your pictures look good to me.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Great photo ledges. I'd like to do the same thing in a room upstairs. We have a gallery wall in our family room and I'm amazed at the way guests stop and look at the pics.
Beautiful family photos, Laurie. I love how you used the ledges!
Laurie, I love the ledge idea for family photos! And you knew just the right words to get your husband on board with your plan!
Great idea, Laurie. I have a photo gallery in our hallway too and it's a pain to change pictures
I love your hall gallery, it is perfect. I need one of those too. Hugs, Marty
Laurie, this is a wonderful idea! I always enjoy looking at family photos. Hanging a gallery of photos is a great way to enjoy all those photos we all accumulate through the years. Thanks for sharing this idea.
Really do love your family gallery wall, Laurie. My mom has something similar just for grandchildren pictures. I love the layered look of it.
And I have stopped by the tour places and been inspired!
Laurie, I really like your gallery wall. Great idea to build the little ledges for your pictures. Now you can change them anytime you want.
Thanks for posting.
Have a great week.
Mary
This is the perfect solution. I've always wanted to have a special wall for family photos but would want to change them out and didn't know how to manage it. This is a great idea! I'll show it to my hubby! heehee! Sweet hugs!
