MY HUSBAND HID MY STENCILS!

I’ve always wanted to be artistic, but sadly, it is a talent I just don’t have. (However, my grands love the stick people I draw.) When I discovered stenciling, it quickly became one of my favorite things, because I could create without ability! I don’t know why my husband hid my stencils. I had stenciled a few things around the house before my stencils disappeared.

I think my husband thought I overdid the stenciling in our home. I don’t know what’s wrong with him! We still have SOME surfaces that aren’t stenciled!

Holly is finally back in London so we are back to being 3 sisters again! Thank goodness!

Hope you have a beautiful weekend and thanks so much for hosting this fabulous linky party each week!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Laurie...you are the cutest thing!

Your stenciling is darling...I think you should make your sweet hubby give them back. You are bound to have one for spot that needs some artwork...just one tiny little spot;)?!

Enjoy!

Laurie, you did a fabulous job, and oh my, stenciling on the ceiling is really tricky. Love the fleur de lys on the lampshade! It's all really so pretty. Instant gratification! Thanks for hosting the party. Have a wonderful weekend!

How funny. Who has not been carried away by a 'new' hobby - ever known anyone who took ceramics class? I have to say I tried stencils once, but I wasn't good at that either. You did some amazing work.

Is he claiming ignorance regarding the missing stencils?
I like the stenciling on the ceiling above the lamp. I actually haven't thought about stenciling in a long time but I think some seashells might looks nice as a border in the bathroom. It's as good a place as any to start.
Have a great weekend.

Has he owned up to hiding them? :-D I like what you stenciled! I have not tried stenciling. If I did, I don't remember!
Not real thrilled with the weather coming thru now!
Enjoy your weekend.

I really like your stencils Laurie. I think they look great. Funny how when we like something we repeat it over and over. I do this the most in clothing. My husband can now look through a clothing catalog and tell me what I will order. I guess I have a certain look.;)

hi Laurie - I tried to leave a comment earlier, but my kids needed juice, a snack, an intervention, and then time-out... Anyway, LOVE the stencils. You're so good at doing them, you should have a little side business - I know a lot of people who are too busy to do it, but would love the look!

Laurie, I can always count on you to make me laugh. But have to say I think your stenciling is terrific. If you can't find yours, I say go buy some more and stencil those bare spots. LOL
Or you could come stencil a few things here at HFTS. Now I'm liking that idea!
Happy Saturday to you!

A girl after my own heart...Take advantage of your talents! How do you think he would look with a stencil on him? :) I love them especially the ones for the grands and the lamp!

The stencils are great and you are very talented at applying them. It is not the easiest thing to do. Now if you need some unexplored vacant space there is plenty of room at my house. And I won't tell my husband you are coming. Stella

Hi Laurie,
I love your stenciling and I think it makes a home complete. I need to do more or free hand some rose vines, but I run out of time for me. LOL What a great Saturday event. Maybe I can get free enough to join in a few weeks. It sounds like so much fun.

You asked about the bunny painting. It is a design from an art study that I did and I painted it on an oval metal container. I am trying to get it in my shoppe this weekend or first of next week.

Thank you for stopping by. It is always great to see you.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs and blessings, Celestina Marie

Oh Laurie, I love your stenciled walls and objects! I've stenciled quite a few things over the years myself. It's such a good way to make soemthing look new and all it takes is a little paint.

Well, Laurie, if you can find your stencils, can you bring them here and show me how to use them? I love the look of stenciling ... and you do a really NICE job of it.
Lovely!

LOL! That is hilarious that your husband hid them!! I saw an episode of David Bromstads design show (tv) where they stenciled the walls of a bedroom with a very subtle change of blue paint from the background blue, and it was gorgeous!! You could tell your DH that you want to do that.
Thanks for hosting this party Laurie.

Hi laurie== Did you realy do that stencil on your ceiling around the fixture ? My goodness, did you have a neck left ? I have tried that, but all of me likes it but my neck. Good work.

Good news. I think I have all my computer sites, and providers, etc. together and today was the first day I think I did a real post. BTW, stop over and see it if you get a chance. It's about the Irish!!!
I also signed myself in as a Follower to myself and got my second one todayl All I did was change my dish and internet service. I guess its called progress.
Good work, my friend !
