IN MEMORY OF AMY

Amy is no longer in pain. It is so hard to put into words what we feel at times like this. Amy has touched so many lives around the world. We have prayed for her and we have sent her cards; yet Amy is the one who has given to us. We have read of her faith in God, and her strength, smiles, and even laughter in the face of so much pain. There have been days when I thought of Amy's pain and realized that nothing I faced could compare with what this brave young lady was facing so courageously and beautifully.
We rejoice for her life; we rejoice for the opportunity to have "known" Amy; and we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in a better place and is no longer in pain. We pray for and cry for her family and for those of us who learned from her example, felt like we "knew" her, and had come to love her. Amy will be missed by many. laurie
CONDOLENCES MAY BE LEFT in the Guestbook at http://www.andersonburris.com/ragan.htm. EDITED TO ADD: I had trouble posting to this guestbook and had to email the funeral home and ask that they add my message to Amy Ragan's guestbook: ab@andersonburris.com

Oh, Laurie, what a lovely tribute to Amy. I found out about her 'going home' yesterday and just sat down and cried! I'm so glad you asked for us to send her cards a while back ago or I would not have had the opportunity to know about this special young lady and her mom. Thank you for these sweet words.
Blessings,
Shelia ;)

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS THAT SENT CARDS TO AMY....no one will ever know how happy those cards made her and they are being put in two coffee table size scrapbooks to remember the special "MAIL CALL" that was like christmas every monday through saturday...but there were many, many from your friends.
Her best friend Leila and I picked out her going home outfit, and I had a beautiful sasha vintage clutch purse that I put many little items in and pinned a beautiful crystal angel on the outside. THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES THAT WERE SENT TO HER WHEN SHE WAS SICK, ALL GLITTERY AND PINK..ARRANGED IN THE LID OF HER CASKET.....WHICH IS ALL WHITE...BECAUSE SHE IS THE BRIDE THAT THAT WENT HOME TO JESUS, HER BRIDEGROOM.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO THIS GRIEF STRICKEN MOTHER THIS EARLY AM.
YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL FRIEND TO EVERYONE. I HOPE ONE DAY I WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ANOTHER GRIEFT STRICKEN PARENT.

Dear Laurie!
Thank you for stopping by this morning. I cannot begin to tell you how much your prayers have meant to me. I am having to grieve away from the family, and it is so hard. I thank God for Heidi, my daughter, at least we have each other.

I saw how much the cards, letters and assorted gifts meant to Amy. She touched every gift of love that was sent to her.

Thank you Laurie for loving our family. God Bless you with love and hugs, Sherry

Laurie, that was beautifully written. Thank you for bringing Amy to us. I too felt like I knew her if only a little through Debbies' post and yours. I felt honored to be asked to send her cards during her last days and share in a small part of her life

Hi Laurie:
What a beautiful tribute to Amy that you posted. I think it was through your blog a couple of months ago that I first learned of her.
What a strong courageous gal she was, I felt so bad for all that she had to endure.
Even though I didn't know her, I grew to feel like I did, and would check her mom's blog or her aunt's blog every day looking for an update on her.
May she rest in peace.

Laurie, I tried to leave my condolences on the guest book at the funeral home website, but it wouldn't let me...something kept popping up and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.
