In Blogville, it is never too early to start getting ready for a holiday, and I'm always waaaay behind. I'm not going to let everyone get ahead of me with Halloween posts though. Today I am sharing some strange mosaics in honor of Halloween, which will be here before we know it (at least in Blogville).
AN ALIEN?
ANOTHER PLANET?
PRAYING MANTIS
WATER LILLY
Little Red House has links to other mosaics, which are made of beautiful pictures. I just hope that, after posting these strange photos, Mary will not ban me from Mosaic Monday. (Nah, Mary is much too sweet to do that)
(Do you think Laurie has gone off the deep end?) Thank you for coming by to visit. I'm not always this weird (at least not on my blog). laurie

Hi Laurie!
LOL how funny!! What made you think to do an insect mosiac!! You certainly do have a creative mind though! I just got through reading your "Embracing Eyes" story and I was totally blown away, you are amazing!
Oh, and btw I have aliens on my knotty pine cabinets! Really, I'll show ya sometime! LOL!!
Hugs,
Sherri
That was very cool. I love the first photo.
Really neat shots Laurie! I especially love the water lily. What a creative way to showcase these. Have a great week! Kathy
Oh Laurie, you are a hoot! Seriously, I'm LMAO at 5:48am, but quietly so I don't wake the whole house...
Thanks for bringing the smiles to Mosaic Monday. :)
Laurie I just loved all your mosaics! This week was only my second attempt at a mosaic and I am rapidly becoming a fan!
Hugs,
Cindy
Laurie, I still havn't done a mosaic. I really have to give it a try. I love all of yours. Hugs, Marty
I really like your strange photos. Did that come out right? Anyway what great shots of the weird looking flower and the praying mantis. Have a fun week Laurie!
Hi!
Awesome Mosaic!! Like the lily mosaic lots, not keen on bugs. But they are nice shots. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
Neato! Great pictures today. I just captured a praying mantis about 20 minutes ago. He was on the wall in my kitchen. We've had so much rain that creatures are trying to come in to live.
Those are very special pictures.Great mosaic. have a nice day
I had a "critter" mosaic a few weeks ago and Mary graciously let me come back :o) I love up close photos of insects. As long as you leave out cockroaches and fleas and mosquitos I am very happy to look at them :o)
Thanks for sharing.
Oh, hello Most Wonderful Queen of Mosaics! I love your scary mosaics. The praying mantis is awesome! You're the bestest, Laurie!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Laurie,
Seeing your praying mantis does remind me of Halloween. One year my insect obsessed son wanted to be a praying mantis for Halloween. Now that is a costume that you can not go out & buy off the rack. So I had to make his costume. Turned out pretty dang cute. He won first place in the school costume contest. So seeing your little bug brought back great memories for me.
Kim
You crack me up and I don't think you will be banned from this . I hope not. LOL Love the mosaic.

Love your post today sister!!
Love Lilly
Hello Miss Laurie~ I'm finally back from my blogcation.
The autumnal colors in your fall banner are gorgeous !!
Yup, the creepy crawly mosaics were Halloween inspiring. I'm all for taste testing Halloween candy in advance! Those tiny chocolate bars are just too irresistible!
The vignettes of cloches were beautiful, especially the one dedicated to September 11th.
I've enjoyed catching up. Please stop by...I look forward to the return of your company.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
These are great Laurie! So clever!
I missed this yesterday. We were traveling from the lake, which always takes longer than the 2.5 hours it's supposed to. I also lost my blog list...so now, I'm collecting my blogs again and putting them on their own blog! I came by to pick up your link.
Hi Laurie!
I have spoken with Debbie. Time is of the essence for Amy. This is the reason for the address posted on my blog. If you want to blog about the cards, just link them to my blog, that way we are only posting the address (1) time. Debbie really wants the cards to come to the house as Amy so watches for mail call. She loves to watch them coming. That is what Beansieleigh did. She put a button on her site, and then linked them to mine. This has been a really bad day today for Amy. Debbie is very concerned. Those cards have to make it in time. They just have to. We thank you so much for your help sweetie. Email me if you want. My email address is on my profile. Talk to you soon. Country hugs and love, Sherry
I always love your mosaics! That lily is so pretty, yet different! :D Jewel
Some of the most unusual and best mosaics I've seen so far!! The praying mantis is something I hope not to run into anytime soon...LOL
Yet another one that put a huge smile on my face and laughter in my heart. Love your sense of humor. Enjoy the correspondence. ~ Sarah
Have you ever wondered what the Mantis is praying for?
I hope it is for us..
(and I got nipped by one..ouchie!)
Great mosaics, Laurie!
Wow it was a big Boo for me! Girl You scared me! lol The water lilly is lovely, The pod going to be so pretty! They are all over the reservoir, 12 miles from here, I begged to go get some, for the pod are beautiful in arrangements and wreaths. Hubby will not take me, he thinks I come home and try and put them in his pond. lol
