Halloween has arrived in our kitchen.
The range alcove displays witchy signs of Halloween.
I've given my family fair warning that they'd better not complain about the food, because the witch is in.
For most of my decorating, I use my three-step ladder, but for this top shelf, I have to drag out my taller ladder. That's why everything above the height of the three-step ladder can stay through Thanksgiving.
In case my family didn't get the message with my "witch is in" sign, there are witches all over he place.
Plates and greeting cards remind them they'd better not complain.
Greeting cards decorate the hutch. There are witchy reminders here too.
The witch's black cat is a subtle reminder - a subliminal message that if her cat is here, the witch must be nearby.
Our grandchildren love to count down the days until Halloween with this sign. I don't think they realize that it's just another reminder that their grandmother is a witch.
There are a few reminders that some witches aren't always bad.
I don't think I'll get any bad comments about my cooking during the month of October, because I'm a kitchen witch this month. Are you ever a kitchen witch?
Thank you for coming to visit my witchy kitchen.

I havemade a conscious choice to cut back on the sheer volume of my decor because my house is small and I often overwhelm my small space with so much. Well, that was the plan. Sometimes I forget what the plan was, but I really did try this year. My husband is a retired electrician, so he does my lighting for me. The kids in the neighborhood seem to love the outside stuff. The plan for today is to clean up everything that does not stay out and get it back into storage. You always do such a great job of showcasing your collection. Keep up the good work!
Everything looks amazing. What a happy place to be in. Love it all but that chandelier is stunning!
Love your kitchen decorations - they look terrific. I can see why the grand like it. You did a wonderful job Laurie.
Love the chandelier, never thought about doing that.
Have a spooky week.

I love all of your Halloween decorations! I also use the vintage Clapsaddle postcards for Halloween! They are just too cute! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!
