One of our granddaughter's turned 13 last week, so we had a birthday dinner with bling for her. On top of a glass charger with a gold bead rim, I used a girly dinner plate (Royal Doulton). I bought this set of plates at an estate sale a few years ago.
I have two sets of blingy napkin rings with only four rings in each set.
On this table, I mixed the two napkin rings sets to secure gold striped napkins. I used this plastic stemware because there is a gold colored ball at the base of the stem.
I added a little fun to the table with sparkly pompoms in a vase filled with gold netting and a string of battery powered Christmas lights.
The table runner is gold mesh from my Christmas décor stash. Gold rimmed, lacey etched glasses for candles added another feminine touch.
I put the last of the pink roses from our garden in stemware etched in gold.
I think the table made our 13 year-old granddaughter feel grown up. S-h-h-h, don't tell her she's still a baby in the eyes of her grandparents.
Thank you for visiting me today,
I'm partying with Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch and Thoughts of Home on Thursday at Poofing the Pillows.
