I don't know why, but food tastes better when you're dining outdoors. Don't you agree? So, I love to dine outdoors. (I'll do anything to make what I cook taste better.) I started the table with a brightly colored vintage cloth that shouts "Spring".
It's easier to serve outdoors if I put our place settings on trays. This time, I used blue plastic trays. Red napkins are held in place by blue checked rings.
The blues and reds are brought together in these salad plates (Penny Lane Patchwork by Spode).
Square dinner plates are Nova Rouge by Gourmet Expressions.
I purchased these vintage flower cart glasses at an estate sale one time. I used them because they pick up the colors in the tablecloth.
A little wheelbarrow carrying a burlap bag of faux Lavender served as a centerpiece.
Have you dined outdoors yet this Spring? This is my favorite time of the year for alfresco dining. It's still a comfortable temperature outside, and the mosquitoes haven't begun swarming us yet.
Happy outdoor dining!

I wish I lived close by you so I could come and see your beautiful home. Indoors/outside beautiful.
Such a charming post. Love all the details. But my favorite is those most charming glasses. I love them!
I completely agree with you. Even a ham sandwich tastes better under the sun.
Your table is beautiful, as always. I love the way you've collected great things over the year and then put them together.
Thank you so much for joining Thoughts of Home. ;)
Lovely. The tablecloth is so pretty.
I love to dine outside too. Whenever my hubby and I are working outside, I will run inside for a mid morning snack to bring out to enjoy. I almost always keep a bowl of fresh fruit in the fridge. Somehow the fruit just tastes better out there under that umbrella. Right now I hate to even think about that horrible heat and humidity that envelops us in mid to late summer. When the mosquitoes and flies appear, it somehow loses it's appeal, but as soon as it cools off again in the fall, I am right back out there. I know. My hubby's buddy was right. I am a sissy!
I am loving this season which allows outdoor dining. In Houston, we have to take advantage when we can! Your tables always have such fun pieces that say so much about you.
