I love for the weather to get warm enough for my sweetheart to enjoy grilling. I'm sharing one easy thing he grilled this weekend. The prep was a little time-consuming, but it was so worth it. (Of course it was worth it to me, because he did all of it!) He sprinkled some dry rub (he used Strawberries brand) on large slices of Vidalia onions.
After wrapping each onion in THIN bacon strips, he put them over direct fire on the grill for 15 minutes, turning them frequently; then indirect fire for 45 minutes, turning them occasionally.
These don't look very pretty (obviously, my husband isn't "in to" presentation) , but I can assure you they were delicious. Just looking at the pictures makes my mouth water for more. If you like onions and bacon, you should convince your sweetheart to grill these. If you are the grill master in your family, you should surprise your family with these next time you grill.
Since I didn't have much to share today, I am ending this post with a little humor about the thirsty squirrels who recently visited our pool.
I am having some medical problems, and I ask for your prayers. My posts may be a little sporadic for awhile, but I plan to be back to regular posting very soon.
Thank you for your visits to my blog and thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months.
