A 1927 Child Life magazine that I bought at an estate sale is displayed, along with some vintage cards.
A vintage Coca-Cola crate displays reproduction cards.
More Valentines decorate the sideboard behind the sofa.
I used rustic lanterns on each end of the buffet to display a card and a candle.
A loving couple and scrabble letters finish the décor on the two silver trays.
Even the books in the center of the buffet got a Valentine look.
More love shows up on a table.
I've always liked this little hand-made bank box that I found at a flea market years ago.
I wonder what the couple was saving for when one of them crafted this box.

It amazes me how many neat things you find at estates sales and flea markets. Once in awhile I go to a yard sale, but I never see anything vintage or neat like you do.

ReplyDeleteI agree with these ladies. I seldom find anything as wonderful at these sales. I did, however, find a nail studded wooden Christmas cone from Williamsburg to make a colonial centerpiece for $2. I had plans to use it last Christmas, but I had bought a HUGE red poinsettia at Costco and really felt like there was no room left for it. I am still stunned by the volume of items that you have stored. Also, I am still very curious how you maintain your inventory and where you have room for your stash. We just did a distillery tour in Fredericksburg. They had an inventory sheet hanging on each rack of barrels so that they could successfully find each and every single one. When i asked our tour guide about it, he told me that make many single batches of their bourbon and must be able to pull that particular barrel. When it has reached it maximum barrel time, it must be bottled and sold. We are waiting for notice that the Alexander Bowman has been bottled and available for sale.
