I’ve had a busy week, and I didn’t get time to post my Friday Faves. Hopefully, life will slow down a little this week. Today, I’m sharing some snippets of Halloween décor in our family room. Y’all know that my family room shelves become more cluttered during holidays, because I add holiday décor to what is already on the shelves.
On one of the shelves, I’ve displayed a page from my mother’s scrapbook, circa 1930.
On another shelf, there is a vintage Dolly Dingle paper doll page, which was a gift from some friends.
I’ve previously shared our Fall mantel, but now the hearth has a little Halloween décor too.
Since I live in Razorback country, it is appropriate that a hog is pulling my witch’s cart.
It’s not easy to take a photo of a cloche.
My sister gave me this cute witch pillow for my birthday. Did you see her witchy shoes hanging from the bottom of the pillow? I think she is so much fun.
Speaking of witch shoes, I was so glad that several of you noticed the witch’s shoes in my fortune telling post. Those are the vintage shoes that came with the Red Goose shoe display that I bought at an auction several months ago. I didn’t even know I was getting the shoes with the display, but when I saw them, I knew I’d be putting them on a witch for Halloween.
I know – I go a little overboard on holidays. If you think this is crazy, just wait until Christmas! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. laurie

This is extra fun for me because I've yet to pull out the bins of Halloween decor. Hope to get some out this week or at the very least get some pumpkins for my front porch. Thanks for sharing your shelves. I'm inspired!

I don't think you went crazy, I think it's JUST RIGHT!
Laurie,
You have the BEST Halloween decorations and I love how you display them. I think it's incredible that you have that page from your mother's scrapbook. I love seeing it all, including that cute cart pulled by a hog!
I love the vintage Halloween decorations. They are so sweet compared to some of the ghoulish things I have seen out there in the blogoverse. Everything is simply charming. And oh yeah, I want your shelves in my family room( if my family room was big enough, which I don't).

Laurie, I love all of your fall decor! I wish I had your creative touch. I just bought this really cute fall wreath from Brookstone to try to give my new house some fall cheer - http://www.brookstone.com/harvest-squash-18-dried-floral-wreath?bkiid=SearchResults|CategoryProductList|868699p. I used a discount code from the Brookstone coupon page to get free shipping on my order, so check that out if you decide to order anything (http://www.brookstone.com/brookstone-coupons). They have a good selection of fall wreaths if anyone else is interested. Thanks again for sharing!

So many fun Halloween ideas. Love the vintage pieces, and the Dolly Dingle paper dolls.
Laurie, it's always so much fun to visit your blog and see what you have been up to. Are you having a Halloween party? If so, can I come? xo
I love your vintage things and could spend hours examining every detail of your pretty vignettes. It's wonderful that you have your mother's scrapbooks to use for vintage decor. So many people would have thrown these out and now think of the people like me who get to enjoy your mother's things.
Oh Laurie, you made me smile big with the witch hauled by a porky, so darn cute! Yopur vignettes are gorgeous and fun each one and I also love your pretty vintage things. Cute DD paper doll too! Thank you for coming sweetie. Hugs,
FABBY
