I decided our kitchen needed to celebrate the end of winter with a few Spring touches.

I added a few sprigs of faux Lavender to the shelf above the stove.

A basket, placed at the end of the kitchen island, is ready to be taken on a picnic at a moments notice.

The plates (Comptoir de Familee) were a recent purchase through One Kings Lane.

At the other end of the kitchen island, I replaced dark placemats with bright, floral Quimper placemats.

I also brought a little Springtime to our built-in china cabinet.

Okay, I’ll “fess” up.  This cute cross stitch, a Christmas gift from my sister, has hung here through the winter.  It does have a Springtime look though, so I’m sneaking it into this post as part of my Spring kitchen d├ęcor.  I hope it’s warm enough where you are to drink a glass of ice cold lemonadelaurie

Hot tea and snuggled in by a cozy fire tonight. Today was lovely, but not one for cold drinks. Glorious spring days though. We are blessed!
Love seeing your kitchen. I don't think I've seen many photos of it. I spy some new Q too. '-) The red and white cherry dishes are fab! Great post! ~ Sarah

Like the others, I love glimpses into your wonderful kitchen! Those French plates with the cherries are beautiful, especially with the vintage linen with cherries on them. And then I spy that carling mixing bowl on the shelf with fat red polka dots. I could sit and look at your kitchen for hours!
