OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS

 

I spent the weekend in the woods again.  On the way to the woods, my very cool grand-dog, Scout, watched clouds from the car window.

A couple of hitchhikers tried to convince us to give them a ride.

But, we left them standing on the side of the road and headed to the cabin, where three of my grands and Scout studied the woods from our new screened porch.

We watched the horses and cows graze.

We picked sunflowers.

and saw baled hay and growing crops.

A vintage truck in the cornfield was a fun discovery, and a good photo op.

We saw lily pads growing on the water,

and we did a little bird watching too.

We jumped into the lake,

and swam in the lake.

We had a picnic on a pallet, and

then watched the sun set.

We went to bed with a full moon in the sky,

and got up in time to watch the sun rising.

We had a full and beautiful weekend, enjoying our grands and God’s creation.  I’m so glad you joined us for the recap.  laurie
