HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDSON!

This past weekend, we celebrated our 7 year old grandson’s birthday. He loves color, so we had a VERY colorful tablescape.

Have y’all seen these plastic bags/vases?

This is how it looks before you fill it with water. After use, I just dump the water, let it dry a bit, and store it flat until I want to use it again. Who thinks up these things, and why can’t I think up something that is going to make money?

I ordered this birthday style and another style from a sale flyer from One Kings Lane.
They can be ordered from Say it with Vases.

Each gift he opened was his favorite – for the five seconds it took to rip open the next package!

  2. Happy Birthday to your precious little grandson, Laurie. He is adorable, and look how excited he is with his present. Of course each one is the best. LOL!

I love your festive, fun, polka dot filled table. Just as cute and bright and cheerful as can be. You always do such fun tables, and I adore your dishes. I know parties at your house are the best because just seeing your tablescapes makes me smile.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  5. You found some MO! Leave it to a grandchild to help you find it. Happy Birthday to him.

I had not seen those vases before, but now I'm going to be on the lookout for them. Wonder if they have other holiday ones as well.

Since I'm a polka dot freak, I really love the whimsy of this table. I know it was a crowd pleaser with the kids, too.

  7. Laurie, you certainly know how to set the funnest tables! (I don't think "funnest" is a word, but it should be, and I'm using it anyway.) I love how you used polkadots to go along with the dalmatian dots! I LOVE that wrapping paper! 7 is such a wonderful age!!!!

I saw the vases (not the birthday ones) on a website not long ago, but don't remember where.
Another cold dreary morning - I need some sunshine.

  14. Laurie, what a fun table with all those polka dots. Cute, cute, cute! I've seen the plastic bag vases. I sent one with a friend on her trip to Paris so she could buy fresh flowers for her hotel room on arrival. It's a very clever idea for sure.
