  1. Laurie,
Your quilt collection is amazing! As the weather cools down, they will be much appreciated. Beautiful shot too of God's creation. I never tire of trying to capture the sunsets and sunrises with my camera. Truly magnificent. Hope your weekend is a good one.

  6. I love your favorites, Laurie!

My post has to do with the ride we took in the country yesterday. J found the owner of the property, where we found the pear tree, and we went back today, for the pears. The plan is to make pear honey, just like his grandmother made, when he was a child. More about that in an upcoming post.

For our anniversary, which is today, I made a lunch of penne pasta with saffron, Italian sausage, onion, heavy cream and fresh Thyme. Oh my! We had a whole bottle of white wine with the meal and polished off the entire pot of pasta!! It's a wonder I can even write a comment! Needless to say...homemade Pear Honey will wait for another day.

    Happy Weekend!

  16. Laurie, I thought I left a comment earlier though I don't see it. Clever way to spotlight the quilts. You have some beauties. Hope you'll showcase the whole quilt on some of these in the future. I've always wanted to make a flower basket quilt, but doubt that it ever happens. I don't think I have another quilt in me. LOL
    Happy Weekend! ~ Sarah

  36. Your quilt collection is just lovely. I remember all of the beautiful quilts my mother had. Maybe someday I will begin that craft. I did one with blue jean pockets (the ones we wore in the 70s and 80s) but that is it. I really admire quilters and beautiful quilts.

Love the beautiful sky picture too.

  37. Your quilt collection is gorgeous Laurie. I just love them. I used to drive through Amish country and drool over the craftsmanship of their quilts. Never could afford to buy one though :) Maybe I should have taken you with me - I can't believe what you paid for the chair! And of course your last photo is my favorite, nothing better than the glorious sky to lift your spirits. And it's FREE! Kat
