STARS AND STRIPES…AND CHERRIES AND CHECKS?

full tbl
I fell in LOVE with these plates on a blog I visited, and now I can’t remember which blog it was. Please let me know if it was your blog, so I can give you credit. I was sooo excited when I recently found the same plates at Tuesday Morning, and they were on sale!  Needless to say, I bought all of them that they had.

An American flag, waving in the wind, is one of my favorite things. I just love that sight. Behind our pool, I have a metal flag that appears to perpetually wave in the wind.

My husband is a member of the local Lions Club. One of their fund-raising projects is selling yearly flag subscriptions to local businesses. Every Federally-declared flag day, the local Lions Club members deliver flags to businesses who have subscribed to this service. I love seeing all of the flags flying when I drive down the streets of our little town.

Since this is a holiday weekend, and since I am posting about some of my favorite things (my new plates and flags flying), I am going to post the link-up for Favorite Things Saturday early (which is only fair, since last week I was late posting it).  I hope you’ll post some of your favorites and link up to Favorite Things Saturday.

Since summer makes me think of enjoying a meal outside, I will be linking to Summer Sundays at The Tablescaper.  After you see the Favorite Things posts in Blogville, be sure you go get links to visit all of the Summer Sundays postings too.
