You are so clever Laurie!
I can't believe the things you come up with~ What guy of any age wouldn't love this table! Those cowboy plates are really neat and your boot is the perfect centerpiece~ I wish I could grow crepe myrtle up here~ I don't think they are zoned for us, probably couldn't survive our winters.
Hugs,
Cindy

LBeau is also a cowboy wannabe. He used to ride in rodeos all over northeast Arkansas when he was growing up. Got to see Susie's kitchen redo when I was in Little Rock helping out with Lucy. Looks pretty much the same, but she's got some new fixtures and wonderful new appliances.

What a clever table! I love the cowboy theme -- goes right along with our Echoes of the Trail Cowboy music and poetry fest we had last weekend!

Great great table!

What a delightful table! I know your favorite cowboy will be thrilled! The cowboy-themed plates and napkins are wonderful, and I love the flowers in the boots! My nephew recently married in Austin, and the tables at the rehearsal dinner were decorated with boots of wildflowers -- so cool!

Absolutely fabulous tablescapes. I even had to Google the slice of life plates. I'll be studying those in a bit. And the blog picture your "sweet friend" asked for is adorable. Love the bunny and the tie!!!
Have a great day.

I'm going to go back and read that post because I missed it last year. It was before my blogging time. LOL

Every detail of your table is wonderful, Laurie! The textures and colors are great, and the way you've kept things airy and uncluttered really captures a feeling of the wide open spaces!
Headed off to see your tie table from last year -- it looks like great fun too!

Warmest regards,
Bill

How cute is this! I love the flowers in the boot -- I don't have a cowboy husband, but I do have a cowboy son-in-law! He would just love to park his boots under this fun table.

Not being the most creative person on the planet, my table-settings skills were limited to linens and flowers and the occasional napkin ring. I thought that the beautiful, clever, and creative "tablescapes" were only in magazines and would be very expensive to do at home. And then I started blogging!! What a naive assumption by the clueless! Now I realize that its almost a mission to find fun and thrifty items to use. I wish I'd figured that out years ago. These days nobody cooks around here, and we rarely have guests, so there's not much point.

But I love all the ones I see in Bloggerville, especially here!! You use such wonderful colors, great combos, unusual and attractive accessories. I am impressed every time you post. Thanks so much for sharing your tables with us!

p.s. I'm leaving the same message at "That Old House", 'cuz her tablescapes are nearly as clever as yours. You both are stars!
