PIG SOOIEEEEE!

I'm linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Recently, when the Arkansas Razorbacks played in the Liberty Bowl, we had a faux tailgate supper. It was soooo cold that night that we were glad to be watching the game at home on television while eating a chili dog.

Who would have ever thought that an entire state would be proud of calling the hogs? Yes, we do call them, and yes, we are proud of it! PIG SOOOOOOIEEEEE, RAZORBACKS!

Now I would like to share a more formal tablescape.

I know, I know - my subliminal message isn't very subliminal. Click over to Between Naps on the Porch, where you'll find links to wonderful tablescapes. Thank you for coming to our faux tailgate supper. laurie

  17. If I didn't already read your blog regularly, I would certainly have been drawn in by the title of this post. Looks like a fun party, and I know you were glad you were cozy at home. I still hear people talking about how cold it was.

I'm intrigued by those Razorback glasses. They look vintage. Are they?

  20. Cute tailgating party, Laurie. When I saw the title of your post it caused a serious flashback to 1960, when I was a senior in high school. I was a member of a play cast, during the fall of that year. At rehearsal our teacher/director was not hearing the "actors", from her seat at the back of the auditorium. She had us line up across the stage and one by one call pigs!! You can bet we projected our voices very well after that!

  22. Who doesn't love a football party. Tail gating inside is my kind of tail gating! My family would go crazy for a party like this...and I think that I will surprise them on Sunday! Living in New Jersey, we have a bit of a stake in this next game.

  23. Laurie, you are so creative! I would never think to have all that at a football party. The closest I got was for Super Bowl Sunday one year....football shaped paper plates!!! I never get tired of your table settings.

  27. This is so cute! And you got to watch the game from the "best seats in the house" I'm sure! Every now and then nothing will do but a good old sloppy chili dog! My mother would shudder! Sorry Mom! It just gets to the basics at time -- but your basics look like fun on a bun!

  33. Hi Laurie,
Your package is in the mail. When I got home the card I was including in your package to say thank you was sitting on my kitchen table. Another senior moment. I love this tablescape, because I love hot dogs and watching sports. I am going to put this Valentine's party badge on my sidebar.

Have a great night. I think your package should arrive no later than Monday.

  36. How 'bout them hawgs!! Are other states as absorbed with football as we Arkies are? Of course, it combines with college alumni spirit! Loved your table! And, for me, the inside tailgate party is the best kind. And the football game on the telly is also the best kind (I can wander around and do other things...) I know, I am such a spoilsport! C

  37. Hello everyone!
I would like to burn a theme at here. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I make money with the help of these programs.
I don't have problems with money now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I get now up to 2G a day , and my first investment was 500 dollars only.
Right now, I'm very close at catching at last a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Visit my blog to get additional info.

  41. Just questioning if eBay permits you to market concert tickets on-line? Do you know if you'll find any restrictions based on what country you are in?

My parents have just called me and asked if i could "get rid" of their two tickets to a concert as they wont have the ability to make it because of yet another family event.

Apart from asking pals etc, i thought ebay would be a good place to sell them.

But whats ebay's policy on marketing tickets? Ive heard alot about it within the news but ive forgotten what happened.

and if it matters, the concert is inside this coming month

Thanks ahead of time for your advice.
