LET'S PARTAAAAA!

Blogville is just full of parties, and we're all invited!

Today, I am joining the Porch & Patio Party, sponsored by Barb at Grits and Glamour, and I am also joining Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.

Edited 05/06/09 to add: I've been resisting posting this each week since Susan began the Outdoor Wednesday parties. I apologize to Susan and to you. I just couldn't resist any longer.

I really do have an Outdoor Wednesday post, but if you came by yesterday, you already saw it, so all I've got for you today is an "Out" Door Post!

We have had rain the last four days, so I wasn't able to do all of the porch and patio cleanup that I wanted to before joining this event (I guess I could have started the cleanup a week ago when the sun was shining, but I need to have the pressure of an imminent event to get me moving!) When there was a break in the rain, I ran outside and tried to brighten things up (You may need to get your sunglasses before you look, because I REALLY BRIGHTENED THINGS UP!). Yes, the grass needs to be mowed, but that's kind of hard to do when it is raining every day.

My 5 year old granddaughter says when it rains this much, she plays outside in the "muddles" and gets "juice in her boots"!

God brightened things up too.

05/06/09 edit:(Remember, this was yesterday's post too, and yesterday was the 5th of May)~~~

And....TODAY IS CINCO DE MAYO:

SO...
LET'S

PARTAAAA!

~~~~~~~~~~
ONE MORE PARTAAAA! IT'S A LADY BUG PARTY! Ladybug 3
Debbie at There's An Angel on My Front Porch has shared this cute Lady Bug award with me. It says "Makes My Heart Smile". I love that sentiment. Thank you so much for this honor, Debbie. Debbie makes MY heart smile. She'll make yours smile too if you go visit her blog, and she is such a prayer warrior. She and her family need your prayers too. You may be tired of hearing this from me, but I can't help it, it's true. All of you make my heart smile, so please take this award with you if you don't already have it.
If you made it all the way to the end of this post, I want to thank you so much for putting up with my long post (at least there were more pictures than words). Be sure to go by Barb's for porch and patio inspiration and Susan's for outdoor inspiration. laurie
    I was hoping you were gonna show a close up of it, after I got a little "birds eye" view of it through the window on your earlier target bird post?
    I really like the table with the orange and light turquoise striped tablecloth on it! It matches your bricks in the background and looks perfect for some citrusy drinks with umbella's in them!!
  37. Hi Laurie, Thanks for dropping by -- but I have to tell you that having my husband along on ALL my thrifting trips might not be a blessing! But we had fun together on Saturday.
    I LOVE your Cinquo de Mayo table. Looks great -- fantastic colors.
    I have serious yard envy, too .. ours is SUCH a long way for being anywhere near "done" -- Yours looks terrific, even if a little damp, lol.
    Best -- Cass
